After Ferrari and lamborghini launched theit luxury notebooks, Maybach joined forces with HP and is about to launch the Maybach ns42 luxury notebook. This premium notebook is draped in genuine leather featuring classic Maybach Logo. Cool sensory buttons with amber-colored highlight are disposed under the touchpad.

With 175 units per year by 2010, Maybach is behind Rolls-Royce sales (3000 cars by then) and Bentley (10,000 cars in three years’ time). To help the brand from failure, Maybach will add to 57/62 basic line-up a convertible and an SUV model.

Maybach, the luxury brand with an illustrious past, re-established just four years ago, is adding a fourth variant to its line-up in the shape of the newly developed 62 S model. The "S" stands for "Special" and draws attention to the fact that the Maybach engineers at the Sindelfingen-based Manufaktur workshops have incorporated a wealth of meticulously developed, special features specified by their highly discerning customers into the new 62 S model. The result is a new dimension in travelling comfort, especially for the passengers in the generously proportioned rear compartment of the new high-end luxury saloon. Not to mention a prodigious power output thanks to the enhanced potency of the twelve-cylinder engine developing 450 kW/612 hp, making the new 62 S model the world’s most powerful chauffeur-driven saloon in series production.

The Hollywood star, Samuel L. Jackson, will soon be stepping out in style in his new Maybach 57 S. Jackson, and his wife, La Tanya, visited the Maybach Centre of Excellence in Stuttgart and took the opportunity to order the dynamic limousine with a number of personalised options, including special Mercedes-Benz Designo paint, refrigerator, silver tumblers, champagne glasses and folding tables.

Mercedes will present the S63 AMG, CL63 AMG and Maybach the 62 S at Los Angeles Auto Show, open to the public December 1 – 10, 2006. The S63 AMG sedan and the CL63 AMG coupe are both powered by the first engine developed entirely by AMG — a 6.3-liter normally aspirated V8 that produces 518 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque.

As a reaction as the news that Rolls Royce is going to create a slaller vehicle, Maybach’s chairman, Dieter Zetsche, said: "Obviously there’s some space between the price range of the current Maybach and the top Mercedes. We’re looking at that and if there’s a chance of filling it we have to decide if we want to. And also if it is with the Mercedes brand or the Maybach brand.
