Mazda has chosen to celebrate its 90th anniversary in a subtle way by bringing out a special edition that will only be available in the Japanese market. Going on sale today, the Mazda Demio 13C-V HID EDITION will feature high intensity discharge headlights and fog lights and will be available in eleven exterior paint colors including Copper Red Mica. This particular color will be exclusive to this special edition.

The Mazda Demio compact car features a 1.3L DOHC Miller cycle engine mated to a CVT transmission. It can produce 90 hp at 6000 rpm and 91 lb-ft at 3500 rpm and can travel up to 23.0 kilometers per liter.

Pricing for this special edition Demio/Mazda2 is 1,330,000 yen with tax and 1,266,667 yen without tax. The price jumps up by 31,500 yen if the customer opts for the Crystal White Pearl Mica exterior paint color.

As part of celebrations marking its 90th anniversary, Mazda Motor Corporation today launched a special edition version of its globally acclaimed Demio compact car (known overseas as the Mazda2) for the Japanese market. The Mazda Demio 13C-V HID EDITION goes on sale today at all Mazda, Mazda Anfini and Mazda Autozam dealerships throughout Japan.

The special edition Demio 13C-V HID EDITION is based on the Demio 13C-V model grade that features a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and achieves eco-friendly fuel economy of 23.0 kilometers per liter*2. The special edition includes a selection of functional and stylish features, such as discharge headlights and fog lights, for an affordable price. Additionally, Mazda’s high quality Copper Red Mica exterior body paint is available exclusively on the special edition model.

Best sports car ever. I know, tough to swallow, but it is. For anyone who tracks regularly or auto crosses, you know what I’m talking about. The non-staggered tires, the easy-to-replace brakes and ironclad reliability makes these real, genuine race cars with few mods.

There’s no doubt about that. Mazda would always has this sportiness that combines with the luxury of its design. The performance of this car is not disappointed also!
