2010 Mazda Takuya Special Edition exclusive for the UK

  Review

A few days ago, Mazda pulled the covers off of their latest special edition range – the Takuya – that will be exclusively distributed in the UK.

Following in the success of the special edition Tamura range that was sold in the past, Mazda’s new Takuya range – the word ‘Takuya’ is a Japanese translation for ‘pioneer’ - will likewise feature variations for a number of Mazda models, including the Mazda 2, Mazda 3, and Mazda 6.

The entry-level Mazda 2 five-door Takuya Edition will come with a 1.3-liter engine with a number of special edition features, including a set of 16” alloy wheels, front fog lights, and a sports styling kit that comes with a spoiler, sports bumpers, and side skirts. As for the interior, the Mazda 2 Takuya Edition will come with a black sports trim, trip computer, leather steering wheel and gear knob, steering wheel remote audio controls, and a Parrot Bluetooth hands-free kit.

A level above the special edition Mazda 2 is the Mazda 3 Takuya Edition, which comes with a 1.6-liter engine and a variety of features including a leather steering wheel and shift knob, automatic dual-zone climate control air conditioning, black sports interior trim, sports seats, an integrated Bluetooth system, LED lights, a six-disc CD changer, and rain-sensing wipers.

The big-boy of the entire special edition range is the Mazda 6 Takuya Edition, which, incidentally comes in three different variants - a 2.0-liter five-door, a 2.2D 163ps five-door, and a 2.2D 163ps Estate line. Though bearing some striking differences, all three variants still come with standard features, including a set of 18” alloy wheels, a sports grille, and dusk-sensing headlights. The interior of these cars also come with an alloy pedal set, half-leather heated seats, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control air conditioning, leather steering wheel, and a shift knob.

another stunning Mazda SE. its design are very perfect and aggressive. but the problem with mazda is it’s engine and power. they should replace its engine with more powerful one.
