The Japanese automaker Mazda will unveil at the next generation Mazda5 at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Like all previous models, the new Mazda5 speaks the same Nagare design language and is powered by a fuel efficient direct injection gasoline engine and other technologies with sales slated to begin this fall. The new model will be offered with a choice of two engines: a 1.8 Liter gasoline engine mated to a six speed manual transmission and a 2.0 Liter engine with direct injection and i-stop. Press release after the jump. Press release Mazda Motor Corporation will hold the global premiere of the all-new Mazda5 (known as the Mazda Premacy in Japan) during the press days of the 2010 Geneva Motor Show on March 2 and 3, 2010. Embracing dynamic and elegant Nagare design, the new Mazda5 emits approximately 15 percent less CO2 than the current model thanks to Mazda’s “i-stop” idling stop system, a direct injection gasoline engine and other technologies. European sales of the all-new Mazda5 will commence during fall 2010. The new Mazda5 features an emotional design that blends elegance with a dynamic spirit. It will be the first Mazda production model to fully adopt Mazda’s Nagare (meaning “flow” in Japanese) design language, which finds inspiration in the beauty of flows found in nature. Nagare design has appeared in certain elements of recent production models and was previously showcased through a series of concept cars. The new Mazda5’s design achieves excellent aerodynamic characteristics with an outstanding drag coefficient and lift balance. In order to meet wide-ranging customer requirements, it also offers a high level of functionality, with dual sliding rear doors and multiple seat arrangements. This includes a karakuri second-row center seat that can be converted to a versatile storage space. With a sportier and smoother ride, the new Mazda5 responds precisely to the driver’s commands, enabling the whole family to travel in comfort and security. The new Mazda5’s green credentials are further enhanced by its other available powertrains, which include a 1.8L gasoline engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. 21 comments: Mazda5 One of the best indeed on its exterior appearance. The features are really outstanding, but the engine performance is not impressive at all. Mazda car is only really had the awesome designs.
The automaker of Mazda is really a great for creating such an impressive vehicle like this. However, I noticed that its interior is not so interesting unlike with the other Mazda cars. Anyway, what’s the engine specification of it?
Well, just like what I’ve expected on Mazda! This minivan of them, is absolutely looking great and awesome on its platform and design, and I noticed that the car lines of it only emphasized its beauty.
Wew! The Japanese automaker of Mazda are really genius for creating such a wonderful and elegant car. I love the luxury interior design of this Mazda even with the exterior design. I wonder if what is the price of this one.
So elegant and impressive styling even the car lines emphasized or I must say adds more beauty on this Mazda5 but I don’t think either that the engine of it is powerful.
Mazda5 is really one of the best cars that I have seen. The features are really outstanding but the engine performance is not impressive at all. Mazda cars only have the awesome designs.
I super love the front lights of every car in Mazda, I found it so unique and really suits to their car. Mazda5 is an example of those, it really had an angst for me even the over all design of it.
It is considered as Minivan even though it is a bigger one. The elegance it shows is really stunning. For the revealing of this one in the Geneva Motor Show, I’m sure that it will grab the attention of the people.
