With the debut of the McLaren P1 at the Paris Motor Show->ke227, there's a good chance that the MP4-12C could fade into the shadows. One German tuning company, though, is determined to keep the spirit of the MP4-12C alive with a couple of performance programs that'll make you forget the P1 even exists.

That's a little hard to do, but still, Evolution Motorsport has built a really sick 2-stage program that bumps the MP4-12C's output all the way up to 724 horsepower. Considering that the MP4-12C carries a 3.8-liter V8 engine that hits 592 HP and 443 lb-ft of torque, that upgrade makes for a whale of difference.

The Stage 1 kit involves a simple ECU remapping, boosting the McLaren->ke284 supercar's output to an impressive 659 HP and 501 lb-ft of torque, but that's just the start. The Stage 2 kit also comes with the aforementioned ECU upgrade that increases boost pressure by 0.27-0.30 bar (3.96-4.41 PSI) , but also features a new stainless steel high-flow catalyst to go with a new exhaust x-pipe. The result?

Yep. 724 HP and 552 lb-ft of torque.

For the opportunity to have the Stage 1 kit installed, customers will need to spend $5,295 with the Stage 2 kit costing twice as much at $11,995.
