2012 Melkus RS2000 Black Edition

  Review

After polishing off their RS2000 in 2011, Melkus went back and started working on a special edition to keep the momentum going. It’s called the RS2000 Black Edition and will, of course, be all about the color black, and not much of anything else. The new model will be priced at 149,900 euro - or about $200,000 at the current exchange rates.

The highlight of the new RS2000 Black Edition will be the brilliant deep black applied in six layers. Other than that, customers will get a carbon sport bodykit borrowed from the RS2000 GTS, including a carbon-fiber front spoiler and rear wing, a carbon-fiber diffuser, and side guides. For the interior, the new edition receives black leather seats, an Alcantara covered roof liner, and numerous piano lacquer and carbon trim pieces.

What the RS200 Black Edition lacks in exterior modifications, it doesn’t even make up for in speed. The special edition is powered by the same 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine delivering between 300 HP - 325 HP. Equipped with a a high-performance braking system, the new model will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and will be capable of hitting a top speed of 168 mph.

I have a bit of confusion regarding the effectiveness of it on different surfaces of the road.

It’s not only good-looking; it also performs greatly. It’s a definite eye-catcher because of its impressive design.

I once saw a car resembling Star Wars’ stormtroopers. And now, Batman?! Ah, these cars precisely know how to appeal on certain fandoms.

I immediately thought of Batman as I saw its photo. Well, with its light weight and boosting speed, technically this soars high in the automotive world.

Oh how smooth this car can be. The design is truly magnificent, and the safety is well-thought of. Although it can perform efficiently, they didn’t set aside the fact that there is a possibility that its speed may be abused. Props on working well at the brake system.

This Melkus started its price with shocking $200,000 for the package that can produce 325HP by using 2.0 L turbo four-liter engine.

Tough price at $200,000 and because of that price, we knew it performs well like a 60mph sprint of only 4.5 seconds and capable of hitting the speed of 168mph. It always looks good on the black paint aside from any colors.

It looks good in gull-wing door. Even if it is painted on six-layer deep-black and uses a carbon body kit. Now I know that even dark is good especially looks elegant.

The carbon fiber features are neat. The appearance is also elegant looking, the the three-lighted headlamps and gull-wing doors particularly. Observing the engine, it actually has a high-performance.
