  The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a mid-sized luxury automobile sold by the Mercedes-Benz branch of DaimlerChrysler. The model line is available with various six and eight-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. The E stood for Einspritzung, which is German for fuel injection, which was a very new feature at the time the "E" first appeared in the 1950s. The E-Class is the bestselling Mercedes-Benz model worldwide.

Kicherer E50 Coupe


The German tuner Kicherer has revealed the E50 Coupe tuning kit based on the Mercedes E500 coupe. Thanks to an software update and a sports exhaust system, the V8 engine’s power has been increased by 42 hp and 20 NM. And while in the standard model the top speed has been limited to 155 mph, in the tuner version it goes up to 205 mph.

The aerodynamic kit includes: a front lip, side skirts, a rear diffusor and special mirror casings. All components are made of top quality and ultra-light carbon. The car sits on 20 inch wheels.

2011 Mercedes E-Class Cabrio with AMG Package


In addition to the forthcoming Prime Edition, Mercedes will also offer an AMG Sports package for the newly launched E-Class Cabrio. Unlike the Prime Edition, which seems to have an entire catalog of Mercedes models to choose from, the AMG Sports package will only be available for the E500 model.

The rather exclusivity of the AMG Sports package comes to the fact it comes with some pretty nifty additions, not the least of which includes an AMG sports steering wheel, multicontour front seats and – in conjunction with an automatic transmission – shift paddles on the steering wheel.

In addition to that, the exterior gets light-alloy wheels featuring AMG six-twin-spoke styling, a special front and rear apron, and side sill panels. As well as providing the car with a dynamic appearance, the AMG Sports package also includes AGILITY CONTROL sports suspension, whose speed-sensitive sports steering has a more direct ratio. Perforated brake discs are also included in the package.



2011 Mercedes E-Class Convertible Prime Edition


The first customers to buy the new Mercedes E-Class Cabrio will have the pleasure to choose an attractive special edition with tenorite grey metallic paintwork. This special edition will be available for E 250 CDI, E 350 CDI, E 250 CGI, E 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY and E 500 models.

The Prime Edition E-Class Cabrio is distinguished by: a two-tone designo leather appointments (platinum white pearl/black), memory package for front seats, steering column and exterior mirrors, heated seats, AMG 6-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels and AGILITY CONTROL sports suspension including speed-sensitive sports steering with more direct ratio.

Prices will be announced at a later date.



2011 Mercedes E300 BlueTEC Hybrid


Mercedes unveiled their first ever hybrid diesel model at the Geneva Motor Show. The E 300 BlueTEC combines a a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine developing 204 hp with a powerful hybrid module. Sales will begin at the end of 2011.

The 4-cylinder diesel engine in combination with a 15 KW compact electric motor deliver a total of 224 hp and a torque of over 580 Nm. All this with a fuel consumption of 4.1 liters of fuel per 100 km (NEDC), equivalent to CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.

The electric motor gets its energy from a high-voltage, lithium-ion battery, which has already proven itself in the S 400 Hybrid.

2010 Brabus EV12 Coupe


The German tuner Brabus unveiled the EV12 Coupe - world’s fastest Gran Tourismo - today at the Geneva Motor Show. The E V12 will be built in limited numbers and will carry a price tag of 478,000 euro ($650,000 at the current rates).

The E V12 is powered by a 6,3 liter V12 twin-turbo engine that develops a total of 800 hp and 1,420 Nm of torque (but limited to 1100 NM). It makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 3.7 seconds, to 24 mph in 9.9 seconds, and reaches 186 mph after a mere 23.9 seconds. For street-legal use the top speed of the Gran Tourismo is limited electronically to 217 mph, but can go up to 230 mph is you remove the limiter.

The aerodynamics kit includes: air outlets in the sides, special carbon-fiber sport fenders with integrated air vents, special carbon-fiber rear fenders, rear apron with carbon-fiber diffuser and a rear spoiler.

2010 Mercedes Sport E-Class


The German manufacturer Mercedes has revealed a new Individualization program for the entire E-Class line-up. Called Mercedes Sport, the new portfolio includes: specially designed light-alloy wheels, a sports suspension and mounted aerodynamic and styling components.

The exterior gets newly designed front aprons, spoiler edges and side skirts, optional rear and roof spoilers, a diffuser-look rear apron insert and fog lamp louvers, 18" light-alloy wheels in a trendy bicolor version. The interior gets a four-spoke sports steering wheel, stainless steel pedal cluster, stainless steel illuminated door entry panels.

Mercedes E500 Coupe by Vath


The German tuner Vath has just revealed a new customization program for the Mercedes E500 Coupe. Thanks to the V50S package (that includes software optimization, raising the maximum speed limit, sport air filter and complete sport exhaust device with sport catalysts) the maximum output has been raised to a total of 435 hp and the peak torque to 575 NM. Top speed went up to 173 mph.

The E500 can be lowered by 20 to 65 mm, depending on your wish and sits on 20" 3-part Smiths Wheels with high-efficiency pneumatics.

Mercedes has revealed a very funny commercial for their brand new 2011 E-Class Convertible. Check it out!

Reminder: The E-Class Cabrio will be offered with a choice of two engines, a 3.5 Liter V6 that makes 268 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque in the E350 and a 5.5 Liter V8 pumping out 382 HP and 391 lb-ft of torque in the E550.



Mercedes E63 AMG by VATH


When it comes to high performance factory tuned machines like the Mercedes Benz E63 AMG, there isn’t much in the way of improvements that the manufacturer hasn’t already included. However as is the word of tuning where there is never such thing as enough, the aftermarket manufacturer VATH Automobiltechnik has taken the fire breathing four door super sport sedan and turned it into a flame spitting power house with even more aggressive bodywork then before.

The exterior package for the top of the line E-Class includes a few down force inducing items like a carbon fiber front lip, subtle rear spoiler on the trunk lid and even more carbon fiber for the diffuser. At the same time rolling stock is upgraded to a set of 20 inch three piece forged alloys that hug the wheel wells thanks to a new airmatic suspension. As far as power is concerned, VATH has reworked the hand built 6.2 Liter V8 with an assortment of race proven parts in order to bump the car’s output up to 605 HP and 509 lb-ft of torque, as a result the VATH tuned E63 can sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in only 4.1 seconds and reach a 211 MPH top speed.

Mercedes E-Class Coupe by Lorinser


The German tuning house Lorinser has just unveiled a new tuning package for the all new Mercedes Benz E-Class Coupe. Starting off with the exterior, Lorinser has added a rather unique front bumper complete with integrated LED driving lights and matching blue HID bulbs in the new square headlamps as well as a new three bar grill. The new wide body fenders are vented framing a set of 20 inch RS9 lightweight alloy wheels and so are the lower hanging side skirts make the body appear to be lower to the ground. Out back the new E Coupe receives a subtle trunk spoiler as well as on mounted at the back of the roof while the back bumper is dressed up with a new rear apron complete with integrated diffuser to house the high performance stainless steel rear muffler.
