Although the new Mercedes GLK was recently launched (it hasn’t even hit the U.S. shores yet), the German tuner Brabus unveiled its latest program for the GLK. The car features a new body kit consisting in a new front apron with integrated daytime running LEDs, new side sills with integrated LEDs for the safety entering and exiting of the vehicle, a new rear bumper with integrated exhaust cutters, 4-pipe exhaust system and a new rear roof spoiler.
Under the hood, with the help of the Brabus ECO PowerXtra D6 the 320 CDI 4Matic engine delivers now 272 hp making the sprint from 0-60 mph in just 6.9 seconds while the top speed is limited to 142 mph.
The V6 from the GLK 350 4Matic, with the help of the Brabus B7 power kit develops an impressive 287 hp but for those who wish more, the tuner offers the Brabus 4.0 displacement engine boosting it to 332 hp, making the sprint 60 mph possible in 6.1 seconds.

Brabus Widestar excels in exterior design with the GLK300 BLUETEC which features flowing front and rear wheel arch flares and redesigned front and rear bumpers complemented with exclusive BRABUS wheels and an interior to match. Boulevard Customs is preparing a wide body styling kit with massive 26-inch wheels and tires, redesigned interior and ground-pounding stereo system. The last concept, developed by Legendary Motor Cars, brings an innovative winching system to propel skate and actually "grind" down the vehicle’s specially integrated side rails.

Mercedes is preparing four GLK Concepts for SEMA Show. The four Mercedes-Benz GLK SEMA concepts showcase the bold, expressive nature of GLK350 luxury SUV prior to its official showroom debut in January 2009.
The four concepts include: RENNTech Rally Racer, inspired by the unlimited-class rally cars at the storied Pikes Peak Hillclimb; BRABUS Widestar - developed by Mercedes-Benz tuning experts Brabus of Bottrop, Germany, this striking wide-track “designer suit” for the GLK includes flowing front and rear wheel arch flares and redesigned front and rear bumpers complemented with exclusive BRABUS wheels and an interior to match.

Mercedes will be involved for the first time in the SEMA Auto Show this November in Las Vegas. It seems that the link between the manufacturer and the show will be Renntech, the well-known American tuner with a knack for Mercedes vehicles.
Renntech, will unveil at SEMA a customized Mercedes GLK inspired by the Pikes Peak Challenge, known as one of the most iconic and power-craven hill-climb events in the world. As you can see from the photos, the new car will feature a new hood, a re-designed front bumper with integrated daytime running LEDs, widened fenders, new side sills, a roof spoiler, and a new rear apron with integrated exhaust system.
According to the tuning company, the GLK will feature Renntech’s new performance hybrid drivetrain. More details when the official information will be revealed.
Lorinser, one of the best Mercedes tuning companies, unveiled its first sketches of the future customized Mercedes GLK.
