The 2013 Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe may be on its way, but car tuners aren't just going to sit around twiddling their thumbs until that happens. In fact, they will more than likely start preparing tuning kits for older models for those of us who will not be able to afford the new car when it does come out. Wimmer RST has done just that with the sedan version of the Merc.

German tuner, Wimmer RST, have attacked the C63 AMG with a Level 3 performance kit that takes the standard 457hp to an astonishing 580hp and 690 Nm of torque while the top speed is electronically limited to 189mph. The bump in power was due to some minor changes of the air flow through the air filter from K&N, an air induction optimization, and, of course, new engine software. Going along with those changes are the exhaust manifold with down pipe, a sports catalyst, an optimized cat-back all-stainless steel exhaust system, a KW-Club Sport Suspension, and some Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires.

The price for giving yourself an extra 123 ponies is just 9,900 Euros including installation, which is more than worth it for a jump like this.

Press release after the jump.

Wimmer Power Boost for the C-Class C63 AMG Performance – Level 3

Wimmer RST and extreme performance improvements are inseparable. The C-Class C63 AMG Performance itself is already a specific car. Perhaps, this luxury saloon has not been changed so much, but a portion of additional power is obligatory for the Wimmer RST tuner from Solingen.

The Level 3 performance kit for the C63 AMG is available now. It increases the engine output to as much as 580 hp and 690 Nm. Small changes of an air flow through the air filter from K & N, air induction optimization and engine software are also included. A powerful V8 sound is the strength of the Wimmer RS-Sport exhaust system. The vehicle has an exhaust manifold with down pipe, a sports catalyst and optimized cat-back all-stainless steel exhaust system.

The V-Max with the Wimmer power boost brings the power up to about 305 km / h (electronic limitation). The demonstration vehicle is also equipped with Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires and the KW-Club Sport Suspension.

The vehicle with the relatively insignificant overtaking prestige will certainly overwhelm various sports car owners!

The cost of the full performance level 3 is 9900 Euro including installation.
