The new generation Mercedes CLS has just been launched onto the market and tuners are already preparing tuning packages for it. The first was brought on by Lorinser, and now Carlsson is bringing the second. Their package includes both petrol and diesel engine updates and an impressive exterior kit. The aerodynamic kit starts with a new front spoiler and RS front spoiler lip, as well as power domes for the bonnet and mudguard inserts. All of these features are also available in real carbon. Finishing the front end’s makeover are new front apron inserts with LED fog lamps and built-in air inlets. Get to the back of the Mercedes and Carlsson has added a new rear spoiler, a stainless steel rear silencer, and two oval tailpipes. For the interior, the tuner is offering an Alcantara sports steering wheel, pedals and foot rests made of brushed aluminum, and velour foot mats featuring the Carlsson logo. The CLS 350 CGI and CLS 350 CDI models are getting a bump up on the rest with a CK35 performance kit. This kit gets the CGI up to 333hp and the CDI to 320hp. With this power increase the CLS will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. This package adds much more to the luxury sedan than the package from Lorinser, but we are sure that by the time the Mercedes CLS gets put on the market, these packages will see plenty of changes and renditions. Press release after the jump. Press release Stylish use of shape is the trademark of the new generation of Mercedes-Benz CLS models (type C 218). This has provided the automobile manufacturer Carlsson with the ideal platform from which to perfect the model with even more style and athleticism. Carlsson presents its comprehensive finish before the new Mercedes-Benz is introduced to the market on January 29th. 16 comments: Mercedes-Benz CLS by Carlsson hmm. I think the car is not that impressive. Carlsson is not a well know tuning company. I don’t know if they are credible to modify this car!
I didn’t know if after seeing the newer version of Mercedes car you still be interested on this car. I think the AMG is one of the most popular model in MB line now.
Look so classic. I don’t like the wheel is kind of made from cheap materials. And I have a doubt if it could have the fun driving dynamics just like what have been said.
I think they haven’t made a large upgrades in this car. Its still look like the standard CLS and they have modified a little bit the exterior of the car.
Im not a fan of the new CLS! The rear bumper of the old and the new design are both ugly. Carlsson should perfectly build the rear end. I wan to see a powerful diesel!
If Mercedes would like to take a look at how to make a Jaguar style car, I’d say the new XJ is a nice place to start, save the c ar.
Original 2012 CLS was really nice, this one even manages to improve it. The guys over at AMG could learn something from Carlsson.
Carlsson should have corrected that prtruding piece of rear end. I hope Brabus does something about that Fat Ass
With the three surface finishes available – Titanium Silver, Brilliant Silver and Graphite Grey – the Carlsson 1/10 wheel can be matched perfectly to one’s vehicle and taste.
