2012 Mercedes CLS63 AMG by Mansory

You think a Lamborghini Aventador and a McLaren MP4-12C is enough work for a tuning company like Mansory?

Guess again.

The German tuning company introduced their third presentation at the Geneva Motor Show, this time involving a fully customized Mercedes CLS 63 AMG. Nothing speaks more to Mansory’s capabilities than their expertise in turning a series-production CLS into a bonafide four-wheeled rocket.

The complete modification consists of a comprehensive aerodynamic program made entirely out of carbon fiber. Drawing from their carbon fiber experts, Mansory was able to build by new front and rear wings, new side sill sets and cladding, a newly designed bonnet, a redesigned front apron with daytime driving lights, a new rear apron, a newly-installed diffuser, a rear spoiler, and a new set of 20" ultralight forged wheels.

Inside, Mansory applied a luxurious touch-up to the CLS63 AMG that includes new aluminum pedals and footrests, an elaborately designed full-leather upholstery, polished entry sills, and floor mats with exclusive embroidery. Just like the body components, the interior also gets generous heapings of tailored carbon-fiber components for the dashboard and center console. Finally, the steering wheel gets newly designed ergonomics, further accentuating the improved interior aesthetic of the Mercedes coupe.

More than just being a pretty face, Mansory also sought to improve the car’s performance capabilities. With a 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine that produced a stock 557 horsepower and 517 lb/ft of torque, Mansory modified the car’s programmed control unit while also adding a sports air filter for optimized oxygen supply to the high-performance engine. The improvements net 640 horsepower and 664 lb/ft of torque.

I never found this car attractive. Usually, Mercedes cars are, so it makes me wonder if this really is from them.

I agree with what everyone almost said. The exterior is bad, they shouldn’t have neglected it.

I don’t like its fascia. It looks sloppy, to be honest. Nevertheless, its speed is impressive.

I have a Mercedes Benz SLK. I wonder how much it would cost me if I’ll trade it for this magnificent car.

Masonry may have perpetrated a good job on its interior and performance, but the exterior is not really flattering. The bumper looks cheap.

I originally missed the paint job, look very closely at the 34 front picture and you will see that they actually covered some element with pain and kept some other unpainted to show the carbon fiber work, the paint job lines are impressively clean.. Mansory got me floored on that one.

The front bumper/hood and fender are looking fantastic, so very well integrated within the rest of the CSL body, it is a nice job.

Still the CLS 63 AMG is good looking right out of the box, not sure it is necessary to mess it up..but if you really have to do something to difference which CLS63 on the parking lot is yours... then .. go for it smiley
