Fresh off of revealing their new tuning program for the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG, German tuning company Vath is pulling the wraps off their latest work: a comprehensive program for the 2012 SLK-Class. The visual improvements done on the new SLK roadster include a new carbon front spoiler, a bootlid spoiler, a new rear diffuser, AMG-style tailpipes, and a new set of 20" tinted wheels with upgraded brake discs and calipers. Inside, Vath put in new aluminum sport pedals, Vath floor mats, and a modified instrument cluster, among other things. For all the goodies that come with the aesthetic and aerodynamic modifications, the biggest part of Vath’s tuning program for the SLK includes power upgrades for all the engines in the SLK’s range, with the SLK55 AMG being the only exception. The SLK200, with it’s 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine, received a noticeable bump in output from the standard 184 horsepower to 210 horsepower and 229 lb/ft of torque with a new top speed of 150 mph. Then there’s the SLK250, which is powered by a 2.1-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 204 horsepower. After the Vath power upgrade was put in, the sports car received an increased output of 244 horsepower and 265 lb/ft of torque with a top speed of 155 mph. Finally, there’s the 3.5-liter V6-powered SLK350, which saw its own power increase from the standard model’s 304-horsepower output all the way up to 330 horsepower and 288 lb/ft of torque with a top speed of 167 mph. .
12 comments: Mercedes SLK-Class by Vath It only looks so simple on its modification, and it is as if it doesn’t have any interesting features that it can offer. Moreover, I think it will be more impressive if it is on a V8 or V10 engine.
 It only looks very simple and ordinary with its platform design and style. However, I still love the decency of this vehicle and with its efficient engine specification, which is suited for this sedan.
 I hope TopSpeed will update this article soon!  I just really can’t wait for its official details, especially on its interior. However, I must say that its engine output is not so impressive.
 It maybe looks like their typical vehicle, but it is still looking so impressive and cool for me and its engine is quite good enough for this sedan. However, I am looking forward to seeing also the interior of it.
 It looks so cool with its black body paint. Well, I wondered if what are the other surprising feature that this Mercedes vehicle can offer, so I can say that it is really worth waiting for.
 I still love the exclusivity of this vehicle in spite of having only a simple detailing. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing soon the interior part of this vehicle. I’m just really quite curious about that.
 The engine output of this Mercedes is already quite good enough at it. However, I hope that it can offer some special or new features on its interior. Anyway, I’m still impressed on its exterior.
 Yeah! I have to agree on that! It still looks like their vehicle, same platform and styling! Anyway, I wonder if what will be the interior of it looks like? Furthermore, I love the engine output of it.
 I can’t see the improvements that they have done on it. It still looks like their typical Mercedes vehicle. However, I’m kind of impressed on its highest possible speed, which is 167 mph, that is already striking for a sedan.
