Vaeth continues to prove how much it loves working on Mercedes->ke187 models. The German tuner has time and again created some of the best programs on the market. It's easy to see why a lot of Merc customers who can't afford to send their babies to Brabus opt for Vaeth instead. So here's some good news for owners of the Mercedes A45 AMG; Vaeth has built a program for the hot hatch, and it's incredible.

One of the things we like about Vaeth is how it can create an impressive program without going too far with its kit. Some tuners->ke1987 are able to go that route but those programs are more about keeping with their personalities. Vaeth doesn’t do that because it sticks to function and purpose more than anything else.

The A45 AMG program is still comprehensive. It comes with aerodynamic updates, interior improvements, a new sports chassis, a new set of wheels, and of course, an engine upgrade.

But even with all those enhancements, the overall result doesn’t take away the A45 AMG’s hot hatch identity. That's the mark of an aftermarket company that knows what it's doing and doesn't shy away from it just because others prefer style over substance.

Mercedes A45 AMG By Vaeth in detail

Enjoy the look of the Mercedes A45 AMG because Vaeth didn’t really do anything to make it stand out. Again, that’s not a bad thing because sometimes it’s more about what’s under that hood than what the car looks like.

That being said, Vaeth did install a more aggressive front bumper to give the A45 AMG an edgier look. Notice how the intakes pop out compared to the standard components? Move to the back and you’ll find a bigger rear spoiler and a stainless-steel valve, axle-back exhaust that serves aesthetic and performance purposes.

Wheels are always an unheralded part of any aftermarket program, but Vaeth successfully fitted the A45 AMG with its own three-part forged wheels.

These 20-inch, multi-spoke wheels look really bad-ass when fitted with 225/30R20 tires. The titan-colored star design of the wheels stands out too, especially when you’re close up. In case the 20s don't suit you, Vaeth is also offering 19-inch, one-piece rims.

Finally, this AMG A45 was the recipient of an incredible engine upgrade that was achieved using a combination of engine augmentation and optimized engine electronics. The result is a 2.0-liter inline-four that produces 425 horsepower and 387 pound-feet of torque. That's a dramatic increase from the Merc's standard 360-horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque.

With 425 ponies brimming under its hood, the Vaeth-tuned A45 AMG can now blast to a top speed of 174 mph, almost 20 mph faster than the stock model. Though Vaeth didn't reveal its 0-to-60 time, we estimate that this modded hatch can hit highway speeds in just about 4.2 seconds -- 0.3 seconds faster than the stock model.
