We've all had our ordeal with cars that just have enough power to please us but not enough to really blow our heads clean off our shoulders. For some people, the Mercedes C63 AMG fits this description. Sure, 457 horsepower is quite impressive in the C-Class' skin, but couldn't Mercedes->ke187 have squeezed out a little extra power? Fortunately, an aftermarket company like mcchip-dkr can come into the picture and tack on that added power.

There aren't a lot of tuning firms that can brag about being considered an expert in aftermarket Mercedes programs. But mcchip can and it's got a roster full of impressive Merc projects to show for it. It's latest work for the C63 AMG follows in that tradition, further adding credence to its status as a sage in the art of Mercedes tuning.

mcchip's new program isn't just limited to the massive engine upgrade. The company also beefed up the C63 AMG's aesthetic and aerodynamic qualities with a comprehensive body kit. You can immediately tell that the Mercedes sports coupe->ke506 looks different. Notice those aerodynamic "whiskers" on the front bumper? How about the new bonnet with the subtle scoops to aid in circulating air into and out of the engine compartment?

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG mc8xx By McChip-DKR in detail

Engineers at mcchip-dkr created a body kit specifically to enhance the C63 AMG's look and performance attributes. A bevy of carbon-fiber components, including front splitters, side mirrors, and flaps were all installed to carry the look of the Black Series line. Even the front and rear bumpers, the hood, the wings, and the side skirts were carefully repackaged to follow this objective.

Under the hood lies s the heart of mcchip's mc8xxx program for the C63 AMG. We told you that the German tuner promised to increase the output of the sports sedan, but what we haven't told you is that mcchip exceeded our expectations by adding newly adapted software and improving manifold pressure through increased air suction and a blower. Also added in is a enlarged oil cooler and water pump for good measure.

The result is nothing short of incredible. There's now 830 horsepower under that hood, which just a little over 70 horsepower shy of doubling the stock output.

Mcchip has also added in a set of 19-inch OZ-Racing Superleggera rims, a KW Clubsport suspension, and high-performance brake discs and pads to help rein in this powerful sedan.
