Inden Design is not your typical Mercedes-Benz->ke187 tuner. Unlike Brabus->ke368 or Carlsson->ke1696, this small German tuning house rarely focuses on appearance. Sure, some of its vehicles feature a few nips and tucks and different wheels, but Inden's modifying skills are more visible under the hood and in the suspension department.

Not surprising, the company's most recent project, which is based on the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, follows the same recipe. The sedan got wrapped, lowered and slammed on bigger, sexier wheels, while its engine had its output increased by nearly 30 percent.

Inden Design’s vehicle of choice is a C-Class fitted with the company’s sports grille, which comes with the traditional three-pointed star embedded in the grille. Up front, the sedan can be easily mistaken for a standard C-Class->ke1593, with only the lip spoiler standing out through its gloss-black paint. On the regular model, the piece sports a body-color finish. Things are a tad different around back, where the AMG Line apron houses a set of exhaust pipes taken from the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe.

But wait, there's more to this souped-up C-Class than just a new exhaust and front spoiler piece.

Mercedes C-Class By Inden Design

When viewed from the side, Inden Design's C-Class is no longer the sedan we're familiar with. The vehicle sits 1.7 inches (45 mm) lower, thanks to an upgraded sports suspension and rolls on a new set of wheels. The rims, provided by Barracuda Racing Wheels, come in a Shoxx, twin-spoke design and measure 20 inches on all four corners. They are wrapped in low profile Dunlop Sport Maxx tires to go with the sedan's lowered stance. Additionally, customers can select wider wheels for the rear axle, but they require further body modification.

Rounding off the exterior is a Dull Sandstone Metallic wrap done by TTS. The new shade covers all the strips and additional inserts adorning the body, leaving only the black grille, front lip spoiler and side sills to provide some contrast. The light blue calipers peek from behind the silver wheels to add a touch of color.

As with all Inden Design tunes, the C-Class also benefits from a hefty power increase, although the company stresses the engine is still "under development." As of 06/24/2014, the 1.6-liter four-cylinder unit in the Euro-spec C180 model generates 200 horsepower, which is a 44-pony increase. Of course, the new output is enhanced by the throatier note coming out the revised exhaust system. Customers looking to take this unique vehicle home will have to pay €47,800 ($65,116 as of 06/24/2014) for the car and the tuning pakage.
