AMG just keeps rolling out the goods with spy shots just coming out for the next E63 AMG, and now the AMG version of the upcoming generation Mercedes C-Class. The C63 AMG is set to be unveiled a few months after the standard C-Class arrives on the market in early 2014. The prototype caught testing around the Nurburgring track is still heavily camouflaged, but from them, we can decipher bigger brakes, wider fenders, and a front bumper with bigger air intakes. After Mercedes starts dropping cammo, we should be able to see the usual AMG quad exhaust pipes fitted on their models. As for the engine, it is believed that the new C63 AMG will be powered by the same 5.5 liter twin-turbo V8 engine - just like all the latest members of the AMG family - that delivers a total of 525 HP. More details on the new Mercedes C63 AMG should be revealed soon, so stay tuned! .

i guess the bigger brakes and the bigger air intakes are needed to manage all the power the engine outputs. even if it were only 525 HP and it is more than enough.
as far as i remember, with the old c63 amg getting to your destination was a win! at least if you deactivated all it’s electronic systems.
it’s gonna be a well desired car for the one with the cash. although by then it will have some propper competition: the m3 and auri rs4.
let’s not forget that this new c63 amg still has to defeat the new m3 bmw. in the power department, i guess it will easily win. but otherwise?
i believe the 525 HP talking about are the minimum that engine delivers. and even if it were only that, it still is a huge amount of power.
they say "the same 5.5 liter twin-tubro v8 engine" as it would be something common, found in any car. that engine is AWESOME!
