It's only been a few months since Mercedes->ke187 revealed its pocket rocket, the CLA-Class,, and the car is already getting the attention of one of the world's best Mercedes tuners this side of AMG.

German aftermarket company Brabus has presented its first tuning program for the CLA-Class and while it looks a little too subtle for our liking, we have no doubt that Brabus is still in the process of completing this program.

When it does, we expect nothing less than the stamp of awesomeness that can only come from a Brabus-tuned vehicle.

There's a lot to like about the CLA-Class, particularly its stature within Benz’s lineup of being the affordable luxury sports sedan that's geared toward the younger market. To its credit, Mercedes didn't take any shortcuts in developing the car, giving us a car that looks worthy of the Silver Arrows emblem while also fitting it with a 2.0-liter inline-four engine that can produce up to 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque with a 0-to-60 mph time of 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 149 mph.

Nice Wheels, Brabus!

Brabus wasn't shy about giving the CLA-Class a fancy set of aggressive wheels. In this case, the German tuner decided to use five new design sets of its 18- and 19-inch Monoblock wheels and complemented them with new sport springs that are specifically calibrated for use with the production shocks and high-performance tires.

Cool New Quad Exhaust Pipe

For all CLA engines, Brabus is making its newly designed four-tailpipe exhaust system available. We can only imagine that with this new exhaust already in tow, a future performance upgrade is in the works. Brabus may be working on something along the lines of a Baby Rocket program, perhaps.

Performance Expectations

Speaking of performance upgrades, Brabus does have something in store for the CLA-Class. Thanks to its PowerXtra kit, the CLA-Class’ output has been increased to 245 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque -- 34 ponies and 26 pound-feet more than the standard model. Those numbers are good enough for an estimated 0-to-60 mph time of 6.4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
