The list of Mercedes->ke187 models bearing the “Edition 1” name is growing longer and longer by the day. We’ve already seen a handful of them unveiled in 2014 alone, and since the year isn’t done, what’s one more added to the list, right? Mercedes did just that by unveiling the C63 Edition 1.

Like any other Edition 1 model, the Mercedes-AMG C63 Edition 1 features an exclusive design and an array of new features. The Edition 1 model is essentially an AMG->ke8 C63 dressed up in a fancy tux with some nice accessories to go with it. That’s a pretty appropriate way to describe it.

Mercedes-AMG will likely sell the C63 Edition 1 in limited quantities. Mercedes hasn’t said how many of these models will be available but our hunch is that there won’t be a lot. The good news is that you’re going to have some time to mull it over before deciding on buying one. You might even decide to score the more powerful C63 S Edition 1, which could also get an Edition 1 version, given we’re reading the press release correctly.

The C63 AMG is tipped to make an appearance at the 2014 Paris Motor Show->ke227 on October 4, 2014.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 1 in detail

You’re going to love all the added goodies Mercedes gave to the C63 Edition 1. For one, it’s offered with a choice of six different paint finishes, including Polar White, Designo Diamond White Bright, Iridium Silver Metallic, Palladium Silver Metallic, Obsidian Black Metallic, and an AMG-exclusive Designo Iridium Silver Magno.

The model also features red accents on the front grille and wing mirrors, as well as matte Graphite Grey sport stripes just above the sill cladding, and a high-gloss black separation edge for the saloon version.

Mercedes won't build an Edition 1 model without installing new wheels. Speaking of which, those 19-inch, cross-spoke, matte-black-painted wheels with red lips are beyond obscene.

Inside, the changes continue with new performance seats, door panel centers and armrests dressed in black Nappa leather with matching diamond patterns. The steering wheel is also dressed in DINAMICA microfiber and carries a red 12-o’clock marking in red.

Silver-colored aluminum shift paddles continue the fancy interior treatment. Same with the absolutely mesmerizing carbon red pepper and light aluminum trim elements, and the black floor mats with “AMG” lettering.

The C63 Edition 1 also gets Mercedes’ Night package. This pack alone is already worth the price you might have to pay for the car. High-gloss black mirror housings come with this package, as do high-gloss black A-wing and trim, sill cladding inlays, a silver chrome radiator grille with a double fin, and a heat-insulating tinted glass just behind the B-pillar.

Mercedes-AMG C63

It would be really fun to own a Mercedes C63 AMG. I bet it really would. The 2015 Mercedes-AMG C63 is set to make its global debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show but as early, I’m already smitten with it.

The model is what I call a melting pot of everything good Mercedes stands for. It carries the unmistakable spirit of Mercedes styling while also boasting an impressive engine. Plus, it’s more affordable than other AMG-tuned Merc models.

At the heart of the C63 AMG is a 4.0-liter, biturbo V-8. Yep, the 6.2-liter V-8’s been sent to the scrapyard in favor of a more powerful and a more fuel-efficient engine. The C63 produces 476 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, while the slightly more powerful C63 S churns out 510 ponies and 516 pound-feet of twist.

Both models have an electronically limited top speed of 155, although the C63 S can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in four seconds flat, a tenth-of-a-second faster than the C63.
