Kicherer has already impressed us with some of the most amazing tuning packages for the Mercedes AMG models, so it seem fitting that they would continue that trend with yet another package. Based on the CLS 63 AMG model, the new 6.3 Yachting benefits from interesting exterior updates and a power bump from the standard 518 HP up to 625 HP.

The exterior changes for the CLS include the addition of a new set of wheels, sized 20" on the front axle and 21" on the rear, combined with an electronically adjusted chassis and a high performance braking system with steel flex brake lines. The sedan has also been wrapped in a very cool full-cover star-graphite film. For the interior, the tuner is offering a combination of leather, Alcantara, and carbon-fiber.

Under the hood, the 5.5 liter Bitubo engine has been updated to deliver an impressive 625 HP and 634 lb-ft of torque. The speed limiter has also been removed, allowing the car to hit a top speed of 186 mph.

After upgrading the SLS AMG with a new name and better specs, Mercedes has also opted to replace its Safety Car version with the new Mercedes SLS AMG GT . The new SLS AMG GT Safety Car will be used during the 2012 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix on September 21st, 2nd, and 23rd.

The new Safety Car will be present with an aluminum spaceframe construction that helps keep its total weight down to just 3571 lbs. It will be powered by the same V8 engine found in the standard model, which delivers a total of 591 HP and is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission with optimized shift times. Next to this impressive engine, the SLS AMG GT Safety Car also received a high-performance ceramic composite brake system and weight-reduced AMG 10-spoke forged light-alloy wheels painted in matte black with a high-sheen finish.

As if all of this wasn’t enough to get the fans’ attention, Mercedes has also allowed the Mercedes SLS AMG GT Safety Car to stand out with a number of LED lights and a specially developed rear silencer that provides an even more sensational V8 soundtrack.

In early 2012, Brabus unveiled a very cool tuning package for the SL500 and now, the tuner has decided it was time to focus on the entire SL-Class line-up. Their new, versatile package includes noteworthy exterior updates, along with a power increase.

The exterior package includes a custom-tailored front fascia, add-on components for the side sills and rear fascia, a new rear spoiler, and side air vents for the front fenders. Customers will have the possibility to choose from a wide variety of wheels in four different designs and with diameters of 18, 19, and 20 inches. These new wheels will be combined with custom-tailored suspension components, available in different versions depending on the SL model. An electric module can also lower the car’s ride by about 25 mm.

As for the engine upgrades, the most important one is being offered for the 4.7 liter V8 engine. This update includes a 520 PowerXtra CGI power kit and a stainless-steel sport exhaust system with four chrome-plated tailpipes which will increase the engine’s output to an impressive 520 HP (up from the standard 435 HP). The tuner is also offering a Vmax unit which will allow an increase in the top speed to 155, 172, 186 mph.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell

At first, it may look like these spy shots feature a regular SLS AMG supercar, but with a closer look, we can see that this is actually one of the first prototypes for the production version of the Mercedes AMG SLS E-Cell . Proof of this is in the absence of an exhaust system and our spy photographers’ notes of the model not making one sound during testing.

This means that the future AMG E-Cell previewed with the first concept version back in 2010 will be finding its way into production very soon, providing Mercedes with a strong competitor for the Audi R8 E-tron .

The Mercedes SLS AG E-Cell Concept was powered by four electric motors - one on each axle. The four electric motors delivered an impressive 526 HP and 649 lb-ft of torque, while the vehicle’s redline went up at a screaming 12,000 rpm. On a full charge, the concept version was good for 90 miles, but the production version promises even more with a range of 120 miles.

If everything goes as planned, the new SLS AMG E-Cell will arrive on the market in 2013.

Not one to be outdone by its more opulent contemporaries, German tuner Hofele Design has released a new styling program for the Mercedes ML-Class . This package comes chalk full of goodies in the form of a comprehensive styling kit and suave performance enhancements.

Called the "Starcruiser GT 550," the program comes with 14 new components for the German SUV, highlighted by a new front bumper that can now carry larger air intakes and daytime running LED lights. Adding to the aggressive new profile of the ML-Class are new wheel arch extensions, a new rear apron diffuser with quad exhaust tail pipes, a new set of 20" and 22" REVERSO II alloy wheels in the front and rear, respectively, and a lowering module that drops the SUV’s ride height by 40 mm.

Inside, the ML-Class gets treated to a bi-color leather interior with fancy seams and stitching work. There’s also the presence of leather on the steering wheel, arm rests, and door panels, which is always a good thing for a vehicle of the ML-Class’ caliber.

Hofele Design also tweaked the SUV’s engine, netting improved output of 312 horsepower and 516 lb/ft of torque, an increase from the standard 258 horsepower and 457 lb/ft of torque figures.

The Mercedes C-Class Coupe is one of the models with the fewest tuning packages. Thankfully Mansory picked up on that fact and have come out with a new tuning package that will upgrade both the exterior and interior of the luxury coupe.

The Mansory package starts off with a cool body kit that includes a new front grille, more pronounced front and rear wheels, new side skirts, and a new rear apron. All of these elements, along with the car’s engine bonnet, will be made out of carbon fiber. Any customers wanting more can benefit from Mansory’s additional features, including a new front bumper lip, vented bonnet, exterior mirror caps, and a new rear spoiler offered in a variety of options.

Just like the exterior, the interior is characterized by the use of carbon fiber. Mansory added a new sports steering wheel and new door sills, both made from the lightweight material.

The Hennessey VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe is a tough act to follow with its 1,226 HP and smooth Cadillac CTS-V base, but Hennessey has followed it up with a tamer tuning package based on the Mercedes CLS63 AMG . This package "only" - compared to the VR1200 - develops a total of 700 HP (up from the car’s standard 518 HP), but it is said to carry a "Earthy" feel.

The new HPE700 package will include an HPE air induction system modification, an HPE engine management calibration, an HPE stainless steel X-pipe exhaust modification, and an HPE engine management calibration. These items will be professionally installed and will also come with a three year warranty. Next to these updates, the HPE700 package also adds a new set of wheels, suspension upgrades, and a carbon fiber trim trim for any customers interested.

In its standard version (not the new GT one), the SLS 63 AMG delivers a total of 571 HP. This amount of power is good, but where Mercedes feared to go in terms of pushing the power, German tuner, mcchip-dkr, dove headfirst into it. Their new tuning package is called the MC700, which clearly hints at the vehicle’s upgraded power level.

The new MC700 compressor kit is available in two upgrade levels. The first one includes a mechanically driven compressor and a performance-enhancing high-end exhaust system developed in cooperation with Capristo Exhaust Systems. These additions get the 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine’s power level up to an impressive 680 HP and 567 lb-ft of torque. The extra 109 HP will set customers back 69,900 Euros (about $88,150 at the current exchange rates).

The second upgrade level will only be available for the export versions and include additional sports catalyzers and friskier stage 4 software. If a customer is willing to pay 78,999 Euros (about $99,600 at the current rates), then they will be privy to a total of 706 HP and 584 lbs-ft.

We still need to wait until 2013 to see the new generation Mercedes S-Class , but in order to keep the momentum going and the curiosity peaking, Mercedes has created this very cool sculpture that offers a quick peek at the luxury sedan’s design language. The new Aesthetics S sculpture will be on display at the 2012 Paris Motor Show from September 27th to October 14th.

The new "Aesthetics S" sculpture features a very cool artistic interpretation of the future luxury saloon. Mercedes announced that it highlights the artistic aspects of design, but will also offer a modern sense of status, sensual shapes, and stylish sportiness.

"The characteristic lines of the S-Class have always represented the expression of automotive culture, as we understand it. The new S-Class will continue this tradition and, with its striking lines, will put a face to our design philosophy over the coming years", explains Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Mercedes-Benz Cars.

UPDATE 10/08/12: Mercedes has released a new video featuring the Aesthetics S sculpture, previewing the next generation S-Class. Check out the video by clicking on the photo above!

Jay Leno had a ton of fun at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours, taking in all of the luxury vehicles in attendance, including all of the concepts revealed. In the last episode of Jay Leno’s Garage show, Leno took his time reviewing the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and the Urus Concepts, but his new episode focuses more on the other concepts presented at the show.

Leno got an up-close look at Infiniti’s fully electric Emerg-E , as well as the latest concept coupes from Rolls-Royce Bespoke and Mercedes-Benz. The first concept to be reviewed is the Emerge-E, which received less than stellar marks. Next, Leno takes a look at the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe which will be unveiled in production form sometime next year. His final concept to review was the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe Aviator Collection which is also set to be put into limited production.
