The Miami GT is a custom kit car made by DDR Motorsports. It is a mid-engine carbon steel frame supercar with plenty of composite Kevlar, carbon, and fiberglass, all made in beautiful Miami, Fl. It weighs approximately 1,760 lbs with a tubular steel space frame with steel chassis panels, and an eight-point roll cage. Each car is built according to the customization tastes of its buyer, including the engine. Choices available include a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged Toyota MR2 3SGT-E engine from the 1991-1996 models or a 2.0-liter Acura RSX K20 engine from the 2002-2006 models.
DDR Motorsport has revealed the latest version of the Miami GT. The new model is called the Miami GT Grand Prix Edition and is the result of many hours of work and some deep cooperation between the teams from DDR Motorsport, Concavo Wheels, K-Sport, Stuttgart Auto Collision, Bill Ussery Collision Center and much more.
DDR Motorsport is built this model, using its own chassis and frame, combined with parts from other makers. There are two GT models, the GT4 using an Acura RSX or Toyota MR2 engine and the GT8 that uses an LS1 Corvette engine.
The Miami GT Grand Prix Edition is essentially an upgraded version of the GT4 or GT8 kit, but the upgrades that DDR equipped it with certainly help take this sports car to a whole new level of quickness and ability on the track.

Miami, Florida is more than just sun, sand, and South Beach. It’s known for those things of course - not to mention all the hot people that live there - but there’s one more thing for which Miami is starting to get known: a burgeoning auto scene.
Plenty of the world’s most exotic and expensive supercars run through the roads of Miami and where variety seems to be no problem, a certain auto company is looking to make heads turn with their own custom-build supercar, the Miami GT.
The brainchild of DDR Motorsports, the Miami GT, is the epitome of what Ferdinand Porsche once said, “I couldn’t find the sports car of my dreams, so I built it myself.” It’s a one-of-a-kind supercar that takes customer satisfaction to heart. While the basic elements of the car have already been built, there are plenty other elements of it that can be customized and styled depending on the customer’s whims and preferences.
Call them a niche supercar builder all you want, but you can’t deny the potential of what they’re cooking up in South Beach.
