Mini->ke57 is expanding its Countryman lineup with the addition of a new ALL4 version based on the standard Cooper version. The new model will be put on sale in July 2013 and will increase the number of all-wheel-drive versions within the Mini model range to 10 models.

The new Countryman->ke3615 ALL4 is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 122 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional six-speed automatic transmission and sends its power to all four wheels via a permanent all-wheel-drive system. With this new system, the driver has full control of the car on snow, sand or slippery surfaces, and will also enjoy extra grip on twisty roads.

The Countryman ALL4 will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 11.9 seconds with a manual transmission or 11.7 seconds with the optional automatic, and will be capable of hitting of 114 mph.

Mini Countryman

Mini Countryman was unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and it is basically a slightly larger Cooper with an upgraded exterior and light-off-road capabilities.

The standard Countryman gets a 1.6-liter four-cylinder delivering 122 horsepower and the S version receives a turbocharger that increases the output to 184 horsepower. Buyers can choose from a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission.

On the U.S. market the model is priced from $22,000.
