For the 13th time in a row, Mini->ke57 is preparing a special model that will be auctioned at the Vienna Life Ball for a good cause. This year it’s time for the company's seventh model - the new Paceman->ke4449 - to dress up for the good cause.

This year's Paceman Life Ball Edition was prepared by fashion designer Roberto Cavalli who opted for an iridescent paintwork that shimmers from black to brown, depending on the lighting.

On the roof, there is a huge "Robero Cavalli" logo, while the interior has also been completely redesigned according to Cavalli's personal taste. The designer opted for a black trim with individual gilded elements – such as the decorative stitching on the leather seats and the Mini Center Speedo surround.

We're hoping that the new Paceman by Roberto Cavalli will have the same success of all the previous Mini Life Ball models; for example last year the specially designed Roadster by Franca Sozzani was auctioned for €54,000 (around $71,000 at the current exchange rates).

Updated 05/29/2013: The new Mini Paceman by Roberto Cavalli was auctioned for a record €150,000 (about $194,000 at the current exchange rates) during the AIDS Solidarity gala. All the proceeds will go to combat HIV/AIDS.

Mini Paceman

The seventh model in Mini's lineup - aka Paceman - was previewed by a first concept version at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, while the production version arrived at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.

Just like with any other Mini in the lineup, the Paceman can be ordered in four different trim levels: Paceman Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper D and SD, with the first one featuring petrol engines and the last ones diesel engines.

The most powerful version is of course the Paceman S which gets a 1.6-liter gasoline engine that delivers a total of 184 horsepower and a peak torque of 177 pound-feet. This version will go from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.5 seconds and up to a top speed of 135 mph.
