The Mitsubishi Concept cX made its world debut last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show. At that time the company announced the concept is the preview version of a future model. Today Mitsubishi confirmed this model is the future baby Outlander that will be launched in 2009.
The Concept cX is powered by a 1.8-litre Clean Diesel DOHC 16 valve 4 cylinder engine that delivers 100 kW (136 ps) @ 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm @ 2,000 rpm.
It features a variable geometry (VG) turbocharger – to generate optimum boost pressure for all engine loads – as well as DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst). The 1.8 liter Clean Diesel engine is mated to Mitsubishi Motors’ Twin Clutch SST technology.
