Lancer Evolution VII GT-A brings outstanding levels of driving pleasure to a wider audience - one that extends beyond motorsport buffs to embrace all driving enthusiasts.

GT-A inherits the manual transmission Evolution VII’s awesome dynamic performance while offering handling that is more intuitive and driver-friendly. The new "2-pedal Evolution" GT-A brings easy-drive access to levels of high-performance sports sedan driving excitement and satisfaction unmatched by any Japanese automatic transmission sports sedan.

GT-A builds on Lancer Evolution VII GSR’s styling characteristics, presenting a more refined and classier exterior.
The GSR’s heat extraction outlets and NACA ducts in the engine hood and the central air intake slot in the front bumper have been eliminated and the license plate moved to a central location to reduce air resistance and to realize a fascia that is more refined in appearance.
GT-A sports a smaller rear-deck spoiler with built-in LED high-mount brake light. Catering to individual customer preferences, GT-A is also available with GSR’s 4-way variable attack angle spoiler or with no spoiler, as factory-fitted options.
Multi-lamp headlamp units house discharge-type headlamps and fog lamps as standard. Clear ice-cut lenses for the integral front turn signals and the outer lens in the rear combination lamp units enhance GT-A’s classy appearance.
Rear door windows and rear windscreen are available with privacy glass.
GT-A is offered in a choice of six body colors: Deep Blue (pearl) and Light Gold (metallic) - two new Mitsubishi colors - as well as Silky White, Queens Silver, Black (pearl and Wine Red (metallic).

GT-A offers a classy and sport-functional interior that is based on the GSR and designed to appeal to the enthusiast driver.
GT-A uses a blue-pearl finish for dashboard trim, shift selector panel and power window switch panel to bring out an attractively classy appearance.
Blue stitching in the genuine leather steering wheel grip, manual shift-styled selector knob and boot, and parking brake handle trim coordinates with the blue-pearl decorative panels and upholstery color.
The 3-dial sports instrument pod uses black-on-white graphics exclusive to GT-A. Instrument dial bezels and pointer tips, shift selector boot ring, door handles and air vent controls are tastefully finished in chrome to add a classy touch to the sport-functional taste of the interior.
GT-A uses generously-sized sports seats that provide optimum location and comfort. To cater to individual owner tastes and preferences, GT-A is also available with Recaro bucket seats that provide superb location for sporty driving, or with genuine leather upholstered seats (4-way power-adjust driver’s seat) that offer sumptuous comfort and bring a touch of elegance to the interior space.

GT-A is powered by Lancer Evolution’s legendary 4G63-type 2-liter in-line 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC intercooler-turbocharged engine that has been optimally matched with the automatic transmission.
GT-A places primary emphasis on low-end and mid-range response rather than peak output. It achieves this with a high-response turbocharger that uses a turbine nozzle with a smaller cross-section area and a smaller compressor than on GSR.

Maximum power output of 200kW (272PS)/6500 rpm and maximum torque of 343N-m (35.0 kg-m) give GT-A class-topping dynamic performance for a 2-liter automatic model.
GT-A uses the INVECS-II Sport-Mode 5-speed automatic transmission that has been honed and refined to perfection in the Mitsubishi Galant VR-4. Gear ratios have been optimized for GT-A.
On GT-A, Sport-Mode enables the enthusiast driver to shift through the gears using either the manual gate or, for the first time in a Mitsubishi car, thumb-operated selectors located on the lateral spokes of the steering wheel.

GT-A features Mitsubishi’s own all-wheel control system comprising ACD (Active Center Differential), AYC (Active Yaw Control) and Sports ABS components that bring dramatic improvements to dynamic performance. Optimized for the automatic transmission, these advanced components bring easy- and fun-to-drive performance to a wider range of drivers.

GT-A uses Brembo 17-inch ventilated discs with 4-piston calipers at the front and 16-inch ventilated discs with 2-piston calipers at the rear that deliver positive stopping power, with low fade and high control characteristics in all modes - from urban cruising to full-bloodied competition driving.

GT-A is shod with high-grip compound 225/45Z17 tires that are matched to the suspension and realize superb, but slightly gentler, handling characteristics.
GT-A uses the same 17-inch alloy road wheels as GSR, with a special luster finish that en-hances further its classy looks.
