Mitsubishi Motors Corporation launched the new "i" minicar model at Mitsubishi dealerships throughout Japan. Using a newly developed platform with an original rear-midship layout that mounts the engine forward of the rear axle line, the new "i" series includes 2WD and 4WD models New 12-valve DOHC MIVEC intercooler-turbocharged engine with aluminum cylinder block Using an aluminum cylinder block and resin intake manifold, the new engine was made lighter and more compact. An electronic throttle delivers silky-smooth acceleration despite the engine’s turbocharged specification. Also, a higher overall engine stiffness and the use of a silent timing chain contributes to quieter and smoother operation for category-eclipsing levels of comfort. 10 comments: Mitsubishi I here’s a thought.

k, Lotus, let’s say that you modify this Japoneese "Mini", how much power can you get out of that tiny engine? you think it’s enought to compete with a HEMI engine?
U kiddin’ me?! This engine is the best engine ever. The resin intake manifold adds like 50 horsepower...at least...and if you chromed the engine pulleys like on the show model of that engine...another 50 horsepower. Not to mention when I put on a Folger’s coffee can muffler, grease the muffler bearings, and change the blinker fluid, Americans would be left in the dust.
4wd and rear engine placement? No contest.
you have to be crazy, that car is lame, and no way it can beat an american car (maybe if the american car has no tires), actualy i don’t think it can beat any car. do you have any idea what engine has that car? a turbocharged 666cc engine capable of only 57 bhp and 85 Nm of torque. that "fantastic" engine gets this car from 0-60 ph in an astonishing 15 seconds. do you still think that it can "smoke" any car?  please. babies seated in a stroller are more likely to get whiplash when theie mommies launch their little asses down the sidewalk in this car. as for smoking any american car..a fart powered daihatsu could smoke tis crap
This thing could smoke any American car of the past/present/future. Literally any. Just wait until that MIVEC kicks in...u better brace ur neck or you’ll get whiplash from all that savage turbo booost.
