Mitsubishi released the first informations about the Lancer Evolution X Group N, the WRC Rally version of the high performance 4WD sedan. The Evo X Group N will be used on the Japanese round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). The Course cars, referred to as the "Double Zero" and "Zero" cars, have to travel through the course before the competing vehicles, 30-minutes for the Double Zero car and 15-minutes for the Zero car, to check track conditions making sure that everything is ready. The Lancer Evolution X Group N as a course car will have the job of running the course ahead of the competitors to check the road conditions in order for the race to go smooth.  The Lancer Evolution X Group N features: sump-guard, floor guard with fuel tank protection and mud flaps. A few safety features have been added to the cockpit: five-point safety harnesses for the crew with bucket seats and a competition steering wheel. The Lancer Evolution X WRC model will gets it’s homologation from the Federation International de L’Automobile (FIA) sometime next summer, and will compete in the WRC at the end of 2008 or in 2009.  29 comments: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Group N WRC Rally Edition yea true you cant tune every engine the same way you can a performance 4 cylinder. those engines are certainly built for the extra juice... but you could forge the cylinders.. it’d cost some bucks but then you could add all the power and the engine wouldn’t mess up... but that could cost around 10k or more on a viper just for the forged cylinders
 Didn’t know about the Viper but the 0to60 bit is true. Besides this is a rally car where the 0to60 is only a minor factor. But you can’t put turbos or modify every V8 or V10, like some of the V8s that you normally buy at the price of performance four cylinders because the engine walls won’t be able to handle the hp, in other words at full speed you will probably blow the head or completely rupture the engine. one flaw with gorjup or whatever his name is... a viper is a 8.3 liter v-10... not a six liter but besides that 0-60 isn’t everything... in fact maintaining speed with high lateral g’s such as what the evo is capable of is probably more important. well in a race thats not just a straight line anyways.... the sti may win 0-60 but thats not everything... hell otherwise people would just put twin turbos on v-8’s and v-10’s and beat the out of every other car but the problem with that is those cars are meant for just that... acceleration and straight lines And baddist, you don’t have to know who Iam. You see the sun doesn’t shine out of your a*s, there are other countries which have cars.  dont know who the f*** this ak47 is. he apparently doesnt know that mitsu is one of the slowst selling cars in the states..jeez come on for march they sold less than 9200 cars.
Badest and Thereal, you dumbasses. In case you forgot, this is a rally car where lots of factors are taken into account rather than the 0to60. Besides I doubt either of you can actually shift fast enough to achieve the speed whether it was 4.8 or 5 seconds. Gorjup actually made a decent point unlike you two morons.

and yes the handling of a car is more important than the acceleration to a point
if you cant keep your speed up then the acceleration and top speed isn’t all that important
thats why cars like evo and GTR can beat super cars around nuremburg
