Speed freaks and adrenaline junkies alike all get geeked up when they hear about a new package from tuning firm, AMS Performance. It’s not enough that these tuners just created an Alpha 10 package for the Nissan GT-R that broke the World Record for Quickest and Fastest GT-R running a 9.3 at 153mph in the quarter mile with a full weight street car. No, these guys had to keep on trucking with a new package for one of their other rides: the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. The Mitsubishi Evo 900X comes with killer engine upgrades and some minor aerodynamic changes. The power for the Evo 900X circles around the 2.2 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with Kelford cams and valve springs. The added turbo kit gets this engine ready for just about any paved road with an AMS boost control solenoid kit, an AMS front mount intercooler, AMS intercooler piping, a Tial QR blow off valve, and an AMS 3” racing series exhaust. The quick-spooling turbocharger allows the vehicle to "fire off 10 second passes at the drag strip" and provides "enough low end torque to corner exit with the best of them." All of these engine mods combined will get the customer 900 HP and a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Next to the engine upgrade, the 900X package also includes a carbon fiber aerodynamic package, upgraded brakes, and an upgraded suspension. Hit the jump to see Inside Line’s test on the track. 30 comments: Mitsubishi Evo 900X by AMS I love the cool graphic design of this Mitsubishi Evo! It looks absolutely so attractive! However, I’m curious if what is the purpose of its gull wing?
Nice video, it was really a powerful one, and you can already line up this one to those super sports cars nowadays and surely despite of having a simple detailing. It was very aggressive and so appealing on that.
I can say that me either was so impressed with the aggressive and sporty appearance of this Mitsubishi Evo, and it is already looking great on its body paint. I’m just quite wondering on its figure performance.
One of my favorite sports car, good that they upgrade the engine, from carbon fiber, brakes and its suspension. Really appreciate the outcome result of the car.
That’s the nice thing about Mitsubishi Evo is that they can easily upgrade it to an absolute car power. And the best of all is the upgrade of quick-spooling turbocharge fro a drag strip.
@dimavsen
probably it doesnt have enough torque to sprint the car as fast in 2.5-2.8 secs.. remember horsepower is speed power.. therefore it determines whats its maximum speed.. and torque determines pulling power.. that should influence more on the sprint time
What you said was true, it drastically have a great engine performance. 0-60 mph
for 3 seconds well that’s incredible it feels like driving a Lamborghini car!
Wow! It look so cool with those stickers. BTW, the power output of this car is
quote impressive..900 hp is not a big joke! I think one of the Lamborghini car have the same output! I want to try this car!
I must admit this makes your race competent enough,Mitsubishi takes you to a jump high performances that i should say a difficult competitor sports car.
