With consumer trends pointing towards the sale of smaller and smaller vehicles, the Japanese automaker Mitsubishi announced that they will be bringing a futuristic compact crossover to the market for next year and it will be called RVR. The new car will go on sale starting next spring in Japan, and will soon follow into other markets as well. The RVR will be built around a lightweight compact body and will be powered by one of Mitsubishi’s all new fuel efficient 1.8 Liter MIVEC gas burning engines. The new RVR will complete the automaker’s crossover lineup filling in the coveted compact spot just below the mid size Mitsubishi Outlander and the full size Pajero. Press release after the jump. This all-new compact crossover is planned for sequential release globally, and will be first released in Japan next spring.  This RVR seems to be more bulkier, the front bumper really good, and the glossy finish really catch my attention that I will wait for this car to be released on the market. I guess it’s one of the extraordinary crossovers to be released and I’m very excited about this car.
 it actually looks like the lancer wagon they should have made instead of that sportback hatchback mistake.
 It’s nice that they are coming up with a new car, but since I got to know Mitsubishi, I haven’t seen any designs that makes a scene. It seems that every year, all cars they launched are just the same in appearance, especially with crossovers.
 I think the trend goes the other way. I think people prefer it more on bigger vehicle that can accommodate more riders. They are doing this mainly to save money and the environment and for convenience. But when it comes to style, even though it is more like a family car, Mitsubishi RVR is doing great, it is improving.
 I love it, but there is only one thing i hate about MMC. their Nose/grills and front bumpers are look exactly the same as the Lancer, Galant, etc. i think mmc is stuck up with this style of their from vehicles.
