2012 Morgan Eva GT

When you first look at Morgan’s new luxury car, the Morgan EvaGT, you would never expect it to be large enough to fit a family of four. However, this is exactly what Morgan says the vehicle is capable of. According to Morgan, "the car can seat four adults and has a large boot (reference the current Morgan Aero SuperSport, but it is considerably deeper on the EvaGT with a full hatch style entry)." The vehicle was built with practicality in mind and offers a comfortable ride for a family’s everyday traveling needs.

Inspired by UK’s early 1950s sport saloons, the Eva GT is based on the Aero SuperSports platform currently used in production for the Morgan Aero SuperSports GT3 race cars. Back in 2010, Morgan announced details on their latest creation which was already available for order. A deposit of £5000 was needed to reserve your EvaGT and the first 100 cars are planned for production to begin in mid 2012.

The Eva GT is powered by a BMW Twin Turbo straight six engine that develops a total of 306 HP and 400 NM of torque and is mated to a 6 speed manual or automatic gearbox. The car sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 170 mph.

UPDATE 12/16/2011: The Worcestershire-based car builder has announced that customers will have to wait another two years to finally see the EvaGT put into production. Originally scheduled for a Geneva Motor Show debut in 2012, the Morgan Eva GT will actually be making its appearance at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show due to the fact that the company wants to integrate magnesium alloy technology - which is currently under development - into the vehicle.

During the past few months, Morgan has spent more than £1.4 million for this revolutionary material which will be used for the car’s chassis. The company hopes that by using magnesium it will make the car less dense and will improve both weight and structural performance.

Press release after the jump.

The goal is to manufacture a practical car that could be used everyday and answer all a family’s transport needs. Although it has two large doors the car can seat four adults and has a large boot (reference the current Morgan Aero SuperSport, but it is considerably deeper on the EvaGT with a full hatch style entry). As all Morgans the car will be fun to drive with sensitive hydraulic power steering and excellent balance. The mass is evenly distributed within the axles and the car has short overhangs.

You know how steel designs have charisma of their own? The Morgan Eva GT precisely got it, appended by its sexy head lamps. Reading the specifications, I see how fluently efficient it works.

Wooah! Seeing this vehicle make me wanna to whistle! I like the sexiness of its
platform. The metallic color is just right. smiley

the Morgan Eva GT is one of the most beautiful styles of a car because of its Steel or metallic Design. that eye catching to many people.and this car have the capacity of car sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.,so its speed is faster than other cars.

Its high-tech material and technology are what I really love on this vehicle. I can say that this luxury car is very gorgeous and classy. From its outlook you would never expect it to be large enough to fit a family of four, can seat four adults and has a large boot.

Wow!!! This car is really amazing! I love the looks of it on its photo. It seems that I am not interested on its speed performance as long as it is the design. Haha. What a classy car to own!

If it was on a black body paint! Anyway, I noticed that even it is a futuristic vehicle it still has the touch of an outdated car especially on its platform but I would admit that I already admired this. Well, it really looks so cool and gorgeous!

Morgan Eva on it’s elegant look are so much impressive. The whole concept from the top to its platform are perfectly fit to the taste of family. Nice and good engine to be expect.

Aggressive indeed because on its design and it also looks very elegant on that. However, I’m really curious if it can as well offer an impressive and interesting technology just like with other concept vehicles has.

I just noticed that it was oozing with aggressive looks on its front design, especially on its unique shape and design of its headlight. However, I hope that the manufacturer of it, has a plan to put it on the market.

Whoa! Morgan Eva GT is really oozing with awesomeness! I can say that the classic and modern look of this vehicle is so perfect on it. I’m just only hoping that it is not an electric vehicle.

I have to agree that it will look more pure and cool, if it was on a black body paint! Anyway, I noticed that even it is a futuristic vehicle it still has the touch of an outdated car especially on its platform but I would admit that I already admired this. Well, it really looks so cool and gorgeous!

Well, to be honest it’s the first time that I saw a Morgan vehicle which is very sensitive and futuristic, but I still noticed that it had a touch of an old-fashioned vehicle. Anyway, what’s the figure performance of it?

Yeah. I think so, but batmobile is more aggressive than this and is pure black. By the way, the car looks awesome. The specifications are quite good, but it is much better if they used an all-wheel drive. I think that idea is more compatible for this kind of car.

It somewhat resembles the batmobile, am I right?.
