The FIA has confirmed that the Mosler GT3 will be able to race in the European GT3 Championship next year, as long as there are three cars in the first year, and six in the next. The first three cars are now in build.
Based on the MT900 S, version will have a tuned LS7 engine with up to 600bhp, KW suspension, Work wheels, Recaro seats, Movit ceramic brakes, racing ABS — and comes with a customised audio system from Alpine, introducing super lightweight carbon speakers.
Standard equipment on the MT900 GTR includes a front splitter, carbon fiber rear spoiler, venturi channel and rear diffuser, all of which provide enough downforce for the car to be driven upside down above 124 mph. The chassis and cockpit are made from carbon fiber in an aluminum honeycomb structure and have a combined weight of less than 200 pounds.
Powertrain
The MT900 GTR is powered by the newest generation 7.0-liter LS7 Z06 engine with an output of 600 bhp. A 6-speed manual gearbox is supplied by the German gearbox specialist Getrag in two different torque variations. The MT900 GTR makesthe 0 to 60 mph sprint in 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 211 mph.
