The Japanese automaker Nissan has just announced pricing for the 2010 Nissan 370Z. Fortunately for Z fans Nissan is keeping true to their roots with an affordable sports car, next year’s asking price will remain under $30,000. The base model with a rev matching six speed transmission is priced at $29,990 and climbs to $31,460 for the seven speed automatic version. A drop top 370Z will set you back $34,660 if you shift it yourself, and $36,130 without a clutch. However the much coveted Nismo edition is priced at a lofty $39,190 and has no slush box option. Either way the 2010 Nissan 370Z is powered by a 3.7 Liter V6 engine that sends a total of 332 HP to the rear wheels, although Nissan’s engineers have managed to squeeze 350 HP from the race bodied Nismo’s VQ37VHR making it even more desirable.
Back in July the German aftermarket manufacturer Senner Tuning was still toying around with the previous Nissan Z car turning a drop top 350Z into a Lambo style door wearing tuner transformation. This time Senner has taken what they learned from the 350Z Thunder and gone in a much more subtle approach with the Nissan 370Z based Senner Whitelady Z.
The new Z car obviously gets its name from its finish, but this is the kind of automobile that makes you look a little deeper to truly appreciate what the tuners have done. The paint is a white pearl blend and covers a very subtle carbon fiber aero kit that consists of a new front and rear aprons and an aggressive rear spoiler. The Whitelady sits on a set of Senner’s Barracuda Tzunamee wheels measuring 20 inches in diameter and are available in either Matt Black Polish or Racing White to go along with the car’s purity theme.
The Whitelady Z is not just about looking pretty, thanks to the tuners at Senner they have coaxed a total of 352 HP out of the 3.7 Liter V6, that is a gain of 21 HP thanks to an Invidia high performance exhaust being fed spent gasses by a pair of free flowing catalytic converters. In order to make sure that the Whitelady can handle her composure when the road turns twisty the German spanner jockeys fitted a set of fully adjustable KW Coilovers that not only give the misses just the right stance, but also keep her feet on the ground. Senner has truly come a long way from their last Z inspired creation with this simple pearl sports car.
The Japanese automaker Nissan has been producing iconic sports machines under the Z car moniker for quite some time. Every singe example has been a spirited rear wheel drive sports car that set benchmarks for both style and performance from modern day vehicles. The all new Nissan 370Z is no different, powered by a 3.7 Liter VQ37HR V6 making 332 HP and shifted with a close ratio six speed syncro rev matching transmission. As it comes from the factory the two seat sports coupe from Nissan is practically perfect in every way.
We say practically because with the help of the aftermarket, we know that everything can be improved upon. For instance it took a German suspension manufacturer to come up with just the right handling package for this classic Japanese sports car. Now Eibach is one of a select group of manufacturers that are able to build components for Formula One race cars, and they apply that technology to every product in their catalog, including the new 370Z.
The kit consists of a very simple solution to stiffen the suspension and widen the Nissan 370Z’s track to make the rear wheel drive sports car a bit more capable on the track. The more resilient Pro-Kit Performance Springs lower the Nissan’s center of gravity making it less likely to roll under hard cornering and the stiffer spring rates keep the rubber firmly planted to the road. The coils are coupled with a set of Pro-Spacer Wheel Spacers from Eibach. The disks are made from high tensile strength aluminum and push the Z car’s wheels even further towards the corners, giving the Nissan sport coupe a wider footprint and allows it to carry even more speed through the turns than before. This Eibach suspension kit for the Nissan 370Z is a simple well thought out solution to have a little more fun in the twisties.
The gentlemen from iMotor have jusst put two of tje best sports cars on the market against one another in a head to head competition. From Nissan, the 370Z is powered by a 3.7 Liter VQ37VHR engine with VVEL and is rated at 332 HP at 7,000 RPM and 270 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 RPM. While the Porsche Cayman S is powered by a 3.4 Liter flat six engine cranking out 320 HP. Despite the Porsche’s nature as a more pure driver’s car, there is just something about the 370Z that makes it stand out in the fun to drive category.
The crew at the BBC’s Top Gear recently went on safari to one of the most incredible reserves of all time. While they were there, the show’s ring leader Jeremy Clarkson observed two completely different beasts that were made from the same basic rear wheel layout. First up was the more luxurious twin turbocharged BMW Z4 roadster, followed by the modern day Datsun, Nissan’s 370Z. Whereas they both are powered by potent six cylinder engines the two fun to drive machines could not have been any different. The Bimmer was able to dispel Mr. Clarksons original misconception of BMW’s Z machine while Nissan’s version proved to be a pure sports car experience.
The other day Top Speed reported the pricing for the new Nissan 370Z roadster, we now have a few more details. Get your bank accounts ready, fellas. The pricing for the all-new Nissan 370Z Roadster is finally out.
Since its debut at the New York Auto Show last April, a lot of people have wondered when the car would finally be rolled out of the production line and be made available to the public. That time has come.
Nissan officially priced the car at $37,690 for the six-speed manual transmission and $38,990 for the optional seven-speed automatic. Other variations of the Z370, including a Touring model, goes for $40,520 with a manual transmission and $42, 540 for the automatic gearbox.
The car has drawn comparison from its predecessor the 350Z and while both models have striking similarities, the 370Z has taken some of the elements of the 350 and made it even better. For one, the wheelbase of the 370Z is nearly four inches shorter at 100.4 inches compared to the 104.3-inch wheelbase of the 350. Likewise, the 370’s overall length was also reduced by 2 inches compared to the 350, 167.2 from 169.8 inches.

The Touring version is made up of two packages: the Sport Package, complete with 19 inch forged RAYS wheels wrapped with Bridgestone Potenza tires, Nissan Sport Brakes, SynchroRev Match for the 6 speed manual transmission only and Viscous Limited Slip Differential; and the Navigation Package, which is made up of the Hard Drive-based Nissan Navigation System, 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive and USB connectivity.
The Nissan 370Z is a great car as it comes from the factory, but Cobra N+ decided that they could improve upon perfection with a few tasteful touches. Cobra Technology and Lifestyle revealed this new aero accent package for the Japanese sports car consisting of a few carbon fiber replacement parts like the front spoiler, rear diffuser insert and mirror covers.
The aggressive exterior accents are accentuated by a set of 19 inch O.Z. Superleggeras measuring 9 inches wide up front and 10 inches in the back. Although the Cobra N+ doesn’t pop the hood, they do free up a few horsepower and improve the Z car’s tone with a sport tuned stainless steel muffler complete with a pair of 120 mm tips. With a few simple touches Cobra N+ has put their own spin on the Nissan 370Z and it looks phenomenal, although that’s not to hard when you start with such a great car.
It is lamentable that European Nissan enthusiasts don’t have the opportunity to try out the Nismo 370Z. However, they are receiving a special edition that looks pretty good! The new Nissan 370Z Yellow will be available in limited numbers starting in September with prices ranging from a manually shifted £31,650 to £33,050 for an automatic.
The 370Z Yellow is painted in the sun inspired color and wears a set of 19 inch RAYS forged alloy wheels, but what really sets this Z car off are the 1970s Porsche RS inspired side stripes that spell out exactly what is driving down the road. Both items set off the gleaming yellow body to perfection.
The interior is another story all together, consisting of black leather and suede, the inside of the Yellow 370Z is both comfortable and grippy. Electronics consist of an integrated satellite navigation system and a BOSE audio with eight speakers and a built in six disc CD changer. Touches like illuminated entry plates and special mats greets the driver as he or she enters and sits back in the heated racing buckets. This 370Z includes the speed limiter and all the other features from the 370Z GT Pack on which the special Yellow model is based.
Tiff Needel from Fifth Gear got behind the wheel of the new Nissan 370Z and had a "little" fun. So what does he think about the car? You will just have to check the video to find out!
