When Nissan->ke62 announced plans to drop the DeltaWing program, it also announced plans to return to 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2014. The company plans to enter the race as a "Garage 56" with an "innovative project that promises to continue the pioneering spirit of last year’s award-winning Nissan DeltaWing->ke4582 experimental entry."

Today, the company released the first teaser video and image of the vehicle that will make its world debut on Friday, June 21st. At the 2013 Le Mans->ke1591, Nissan will also open a "Nismo FanZone" experience that will offer the fans a chance to see the drivers of the No. 42 Greaves Motorsport and No. 26 G-Drive Racing cars.

Also, visitors will have the possibility to enter competitions to win helicopter rides, garage tours, circuit tours and numerous other giveaways throughout the event. Nissan is also offering the possibility to watch the groundbreaking Juke->ke3600 Ride biometrics system.

Caterham at Le Mans

There are plenty of makers announcing their return to the famous Le Mans series and Caterham was the latest one to announce its intention. The company will enter the race with a Zytek Z11SN-Nissan in the LMP2 category.

The car will wear number No. 41, and Caterham F1 Team reserve driver, Alexander Rossi, and double LMP2 class-winner, Tom Kimber-Smith, will be at the wheel.

SRT Viper at Le Mans

After an absence of 13 years SRT Viper is also preparing for a comeback at the Le Mans. SRT, in cooperation with Riley Technologies, are preparing two identical SRT Viper GTS-R models for the race. The two cars were rigorously tested during four ALMS races in 2012 and during the full 2013 racing season. Car No. 91 managed to obtain three consecutive top-five finishes, including a position on the podium at Long Beach, where it finished third.
