Ferrari California by Novitec Rosso

It takes a German to make an Italian stallion this wild. Novitec Rosso, the arm of the high end tuning firm that specializes in all things from Maranello, has just released a new customization package for the 460 HP V8 powered Ferrari California. Novitec leaves no aspect of the brand new retractable hard top sports coupe untouched, making modifications both inside and out, and they weren’t worried about getting a little grease under their fingernails because they also changed out the suspension in search of better handling. But what’s the benefit of looking good and being able to take corners a little faster if you can’t blow past other California drivers on the straights, so the German engineers gave the front engine Ferrari a more aggressive engine tune as well.

The outside benefits from healthy heap of carbon fiber, with elements like a new front chin spoiler, rocker panel moldings and a new diffuser incorporated into the rear apron. The German tuner is offering the package with their three piece Novitec Rosso NF3 wheels sized either 21 or 22 inches in diameter depending on how much you want to feel the road. Don’t worry about wheel gap because the car comes down by 35 mm at all four corners not only lowering lap times but giving the new California the perfect stance. The Ferrari’s engine management software has been reprogrammed with custom mapping that optimizes both injection and ignition increasing output to an even 500 HP and 382 lb-ft of torque when combined with the new stainless steel exhaust that allows the California to be heard.

Novitec TuLesto: building a better Ferrari?

Noveitec has made a name for itself tuning Ferraris, so when it says it built its “own” supercar that looks a lot like a Ferrari F430, we might be a little suspicious. But regardless of its origins, cool is cool, so we’ll let this one slide.

It’s Noveitec’s 20th anniversary, and its giving the world the TuLesto as a present. It’s powered by a 4.4-liter V8 with dual supercharges that produces 777 hp. That’s quite an improvement if the F430’s 490 hp 4.3-liter V8 was used as the engine basis.

The car utilizes materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum (hmmm, the F430’s chassis is already made from aluminum.) The total weight of the car is about 2770 lbs, about 320 lbs. lighter than a F430. This featherweight status helps the TuLesto achieve a claimed 0 to 60 mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph.

There will be only a handful of people helping Novitec celebrate two decades of life. The TuLesto will be limited to only eleven units.

Press release after the jump.

2008 Ferrari F430 Race by Novitec Rosso

Novitec Rosso unveiled the F430 Race tuning kit. With a power of 707 hp and a peak torque of 525 hp, the F430 Race can hit a top speed of 216 mph and makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 3.5 seconds. It is one of the world’s fastest and most powerful street-legal cars and starts at $295,365.

The F430 Race is powered by a eight-cylinder, four-valve engine with a displacement of 4,308 ccm and mechanical NOVITEC ROSSO twin superchargers engine that produces 656 hp. For the extra 51 hp the components were again modified extensively. The two belt-driven superchargers were fitted with different turbine vanes and maximum boost pressure was increased to 0.48 bar. Two generously dimensioned intercoolers with their own supply of cooling water lower the temperature of the charge air for maximum power yield.

The sprint from rest to 100 km/h is shortened by half a second to 3.5 seconds. After just 10.5 seconds the car reaches 200 km/h. The 300-km/h barrier is shattered after 29.9 seconds. In combination with longer gear ratios available upon request the top speed grows from 315 km/h to 348 km/h.
