The Vectra used to be Europe's best selling mid-size sedan, but those days seem long gone. Cars like the Mondeo, Passat and most recently Laguna have taken its place at the top of the sales charts. To get the Opel back in contention a whole new Vectra was designed. The Vectra comes as a five door hatchback and a four door coupe-like sedan, called GTS. The topmodel is fitted with a 3.2 litre V6 engine, the largest engine ever installed in a Vectra.

Opel engineers have adapted the IDS chassis (Interactive Driving System) in tune with the car’s sporting character. Even more responsive power-steering and a lowered body give the Vectra GTS the handling and driving characteristics of a sports car.
