After revealing the Venocara Concept in early 2012 and teasing the market with a few sketches, Arrinera->ke3963 has finally dropped the first images and details on their new supercar: the Hussarya. Not to be confused with the Pagani Huayra->ke3763, this new Hussarya model gets its name from the world’s most powerful and effective XVII century cavalry – the Polish Hussars.

Designing the new Hussarya supercar took about 14 months and the result is quite amazing, even if there is still a big resemblance to other supercars, like the Lamborghini Murcielago->ke1267. As for its performance figures, we expect to see amazing results considering it was built in collaboration with Lee Noble - the man responsible for the Ultima GTR.

"Arrinera Hussarya was created for automobile enthusiasts with a passion for fast and beautiful cars. For enthusiasts searching for intense emotions and a massive dose of adrenaline combined with the practicality of everyday solutions. With just a little extravagance mixed in for good measure." - Lukasz Tomkiewicz (CEO)

Updated 10/31/2014: Arrinera Automotive announced it begun testing the aerodynamics and the steering system of its new Hussarya supercar. This is one of the final stages of the supercar's development, meaning that pretty soon we should see the car in its final form. A new set of images was also revealed.

Update History

Updated 03/31/2014: After being announced about two years ago, Arrinera Automotive finally released the final design language of its new Hussarya supercar. Check out the picture gallery to see how it will look.

Exterior and Interior

The design for the new Arrinera Hussarya is said to be taken from the air's motion, which is why the company spent so much time achieving aerodynamic perfection. Arrinera says that the new design was "created by the flow of air streams moving around the body of the supercar."

The entire body features a countless number of lines that intersect, disappear, and re-emerge. Unlike the Venocara Concept, the Hussarya comes with traditional doors and a higher ground clearance.

One of the most interesting parts of the car's exterior design are the two spoilers that serve as additional air brakes at speeds beyond 150 km/h (93 mph). The two spoilers can be activated by the brake pedal and deploy at an angle of 50 degrees to reduce braking distance.

The company will be offering an exclusive color palette, created especially for Arrinera Automotive by some of the world's best known manufacturers of automobile paints. Specific colors have not been provided as of yet, but we'll keep you posted.

Drivetrain

The production Arrinera Hussarya didn't get any adjustments from the concept version in terms of its engine. The Hussarya will be powered by the same 6.2-liter, mid-mounted V8 engine that delivers 650 HP and 604 lb/ft of torque. However, for customers interested, Arrinera can arrange for the Hussarya to deliver more power.

With the standard 650 HP, the Hussarya delivers amazing performance numbers: 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, 0 to 124 mph in under 10 seconds, 0 to 186 mph in under 30 seconds, and a quarter-mile time of 11 seconds. Top speed goes up to an impressive 211 mph.

Prices

Prices for the new Arrinera Hussarya haven't been announced just yet, but in a previous statement, the company suggested it would be placed in the $160,000 range.

The Hussarya will become available for purchase no earlier than the end of 2013. Until then, the car Hussarya is scheduled for road and performance tests at the Applus IDIADA automotive research center in Spain.

Don't want to wait? Have an Arrinera Hussarya 33

For customers who cannot wait that until the end of 2013, Arrinera will be offering the 33 Series – a limited edition of the Arrinera Hussarya supercar. This special edition will be available sometime between August and September 2012 and will feature distinctive styling for both the interior and exterior.

Competition

There are a number of special edition supercars out on the market to give the Hussarya plenty of competition, but since Arrinera took its inspiration from the Murcielago, we're guessing Lamborghini->ke44's latest supercar, the Aventador LP700-4, will be its main competitor. The Italian supercar is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 700 HP and 509 lb/ft of torque - 50 HP more than the Hussarya, but also double the price: $379,700.

Of course, the Arrinera Hussarya is going to have to make up a lot of ground to be able to remotely compete with the legendary Lamborghini. If anything, Arrinera may be able to steal a couple of sales from Lambo, but we doubt they will even notice.
