If you have money to spend and want to buy a real nice car, Cars.com made a list with top ten cars over $100,000 cars. But even if the list is very long allready, the trend doesn’t look to be ending anytime soon, either. Audi has announced that the R8 wil go on sale on the US market in September. Pricing starts at $110,000 for the six-speed manual and rises to $119,000 for the six-speed automatic. Both prices include shipping. The R8 has a 420-hp, 4.2-liter V-8 engine.
On selling the R8 Audi will copy a Ferrari practice: dealers will ask would-be buyers to sign an affidavit stating that they will give the dealer first crack at buying back the R8 if they sell it. Signing the affidavit is voluntary.

The latest BMW M3 Coupé is a technical tour de force. The 420hp V8-engined performance car is capable of zero to 62mph in 4.8 seconds, before going on to an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph. But while engine capacity, cylinder count and output have increased compared to the previous M3’s six-cylinder unit, engineers have managed to reduce powerplant weight and introduce elements of BMW’s EfficientDynamics programme.

Mercedes and McLaren have joined forces again and they are working on a "baby" McLaren that will compete with Lamborghini Gallardo, the V10 version of the Audi R8 and Ferrari F430. The new model will be priced at around $200.000.

After Prodrive got in charge over the Aston Martin company they have announced big plans for the future. One of them is to put into production the Rapide Concept that was unveiled in 2006 at the North American International Auto Show. The Rapide will go into production in 2009 and will compete with the Porsche Panamera, Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class and Maserati Quattroporte.

Exactly 20 years after the original CTR, German tuning house RUF has announced the introduction of its third generation CTR3 coinciding with the launch of its new plant in Bahrain. The latest version will be based on the Porsche Cayman and like the original, the CTR3 will be one of the fastest Porsches on offer when it’s released.

Lexus today announced the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the all-new 2008 LS 600h L luxury hybrid sedan. The LS 600h L will be the ultimate Lexus statement, providing the highest level of luxury, technology, performance, safety and efficiency.
With an extensive list of standard luxury equipment and technological features, including the world’s first full hybrid V8 powertrain, the LS 600h L will carry a base MSRP of $104,000 when it reaches Lexus dealers in June.
