The Pagani Huayra is one of the most exclusive supercars money can buy. The company founded by Horaccio Pagani produces these masterpieces of automobile design and engineering on a small scale. In year, Pagani is able to deliver just about a handful of cars.

The Huayra is made to order keeping in mind individual customer preference. Pagani would do all types of exterior finishes, leather and carbon fiber. After you’ve confirmed the order and the payment made, Pagani starts building the car. That takes quite a bit of time.

However, now if you wish to own a Pagani Huayra and haven’t got the patience to wait for at least a year to take delivery, you can checkout the used car market. One such Huayra finished in pearl white over carbon fiber is up for sale in Dubai. The asking price for this exclusive hypercar is $1.7 million.

The car seems to be in great condition with just 373 miles on the odometer. The interior is finished in white and black leather with a substantial expanse of naked carbon fiber. Most of the car’s rigid monocoque is built using layers of carbon fiber. Certain mechanical components are made out of magnesium and titanium.

Pagani Huayra

About the Pagani Huayra we know a lot of things, except maybe the most important one: price and optional features. However, a leaked document is now also disclosing these features, so all we need now are the money to buy it.

A base Huayra is priced at €1,050,000 - or about $1,4 million at the current exchange rates. Of course this can be considered a reasonable price, when you consider the amount of power, the price for the competition and the fact that you are indeed buying a Pagani supercar.

However, things can change literally when you take a look at the options prices. For example a full carbon body work is priced at €112,500 - or about $151,700; chancing the color of the wheels will add another €3,500, or $4,700, while adding a premium leather interior will cost you an additional €7,900, or $10,650. So, with a few updates here and there the price for your Huayra can easily go up to about $2 million - which is not so cool.

To remind you, for the money you will get a supercar powered by an AMG sourced V-12 engine that delivers a total of 700 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. With this power the Huayra will go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and up to a top speed of 230 mph.

We don’t really know if Michael Bay is trying to bring a dream car garage to the set of “Transformers 4,” but judging from the cars that have been announced as joining the movie, you’d think that the director chanced upon gold bouillon and is in the middle of the craziest automotive splurge in history.

A host of supercars have already been lined up for the movie, including: the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and the Lamborghini Aventador . Now, Bay is introducing another one: the Pagani Huayra .

With these recent announcements, we’ve all but given up on deciphering what other cars are going to be part of “Transformers 4.” At this point, we’re just going to sit back and wait for Bay to reveal the remaining cast of cars.

We already knew that “Transformers 4” is going to feature some of the world’s hottest cars in full display, but we certainly didn’t see the Huayra coming.

A lot of folks expected Pagani to introduce a new model at the Geneva Motor Show. But that didn’t happen. Instead, the Italian automaker showcased a new and extremely expensive option that customers can add to the Pagani Huayra.

Collaborating with Sonus Faber, Pagani introduced the custom Huayra sound system that was designed by the two companies to fit perfectly in line with the lightweight philosophy of the Italian supercar.

The overall setup is pretty remarkable for a sound system. It comes with carbon-fiber speaker cones, which is no small feat for those who designed and developed it.

In addition, the sound system also comes with neodymium magnets and an advanced amplifier system that results in a staggering 1,200 watts of power - three times as much as the "regular" sound system already installed in the Huayra.

That’s a lot of audio power to complement a car that already boasts of a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V-12 engine that produces 700 horsepower and 730 pound-feet of tire smoking torque.

In the world of supercars, you have many different players. Ferrari is the technological wonder child, while Lamborghini is that school bully that developed a bit of common sense with age.Aston Martin is the sophisticated gentlemen spy that can charm any living thing with a single word. Then, you come to Pagani, the new boy. These cars don’t feature any sophistication or old world charm. Yet, their radical designs and outrageous performance have placed them in the top tier of the supercar tree and now, we have a new version, the C9 .

In the world of follow-ups, this one is massive. Sort of like the Godfather II following the Godfather. The Zonda was the car that made Pagani into the company you see today. Automotive journalists loved it and the base version spawned many different special editions and one-offs like the Zonda F and Cinque . It was like nothing ever seen before. The Zonda’s development was evolutionary, but the C9 that will replace it will be revolutionary.

UPDATE 03/15/2013: Pagani has unveiled a new promo video for its Huayra supercar. Called simply "God of Wind" the new video is just an attempt to bring the supercar back to our attention. Enjoy!
