Unique Pagani Zonda 760 RS captured on video!

All we’ve had access to on the one-off Pagani Zonda 760 RS were some scarce details and an image that only revealed the car’s badge, but thankfully, Youtube user OuncesofAwesome12 was able to get up close and personal with the Zonda 760 RS and brought his video camera along for the ride.

The video doesn’t exactly scream quality - the camera is very shaky and the angles are terrible - but at least we get a good deal more details than the random cropped image we had before. Then there’s the end of the video when we get to here the Zonda 760 RS’ amazing engine.

The Pagani Zonda 760 RS is a unique model that is among the latest Zonda models to be produced. The history behind this supercar is quite interesting because it actually began as a custom built Zonda 750 requested by an Arab family, but when they canceled the order, Pagani transformed it into the 760 RS. The car delivers an impressive 760 HP making it capable of hitting a top speed of more than 217 mph, or so they say.

2012 Pagani Zonda 760 RS

While everyone’s attention may be focused on the new Pagani Huayra, it seems that the Italian company still has a few tricks up its sleeve when it comes to their Zonda supercar. GT Spirit has found the first images of a one-off Pagani Zonda 760 RS - unique supercar that was created for a customer in either Chile or China, depending on which rumor you believe.

The Pagani Zonda 760 RS actually began as a custom built Zonda 750 requested by an Arab family, but when they canceled the order, Pagani transformed it into the 760 RS. The car is based on a Zonda F, but features an exposed carbon fiber exterior with a unique aerodynamic package that includes components from the Cinque, like the rear air ducts and the roof air intake.

The 760 RS name is representative of the good things found under the hood: an AMG-sourced engine that delivers a total of 760 HP - 90 HP more than the Zonda Cinque and 20 HP more than the Zonda R. This extra power will undoubtedly be enough to sprint the car to a top speed of more than 217 mph.

Pagani Huayra Documentary

This 14-minute documentary features the Pagani Huayra and the companies that helped make it the beautiful combination of art and technology it has become. The video explores the Huayra’s air and wind inspired carbon fiber and titanium body design, the hand-built 6.0L twin-turbo AMG V12, the hand-assembled MHG custom tuned exhaust, the tailor-made Dani Group leather interior, and the 1000 components that are made by ASPA, including the Huayra emblem that is cut from a solid block of aluminum in a 24-hour process.

The Huayra is built with what are most likely the highest standards in the industry. Every part of this car is produced to utter perfection. Perhaps the most beautiful piece of technology on the Huayra is the active aerodynamics system: The car’s computer system monitors its behavior, and aerodynamic surfaces on all four corners of the car adjust accordingly, with the back two surfaces even acting as emergency brakes to assist the lightweight Brembos at high speed. This is not just a supercar; it is the supercar that the Ferrari F12berlinetta and Lamborghini Aventador dream about at night.

The Pagani Huayra’s V12 engine makes 700hp and 740lb-ft. of torque. The 2,970 lb. supercar is capable of hitting 230 mph, though Pagani Automobili focuses more on dynamic driving than top speed. The Huayra was supposed to hit the U.S. market this year, but the NHTSA forced a delay by blocking U.S. sales until advanced airbag systems are installed in every car. Pagani argued that implementing the advanced airbags would cost millions, but ultimately decided to spend the extra production money. The safer Pagani Huayra will likely go on sale in America in 2013 and is expected to cost a cool $1.4 million.

Let us know what you think of this amazing work of art in the comments below.

2012 Pagani Huayra Carbon Edition

The introduction of the Pagani Huayra came and went rather quickly, and although videos of the super car have been sprouting all over the internet, it’s nice to see that Pagani was working on a special edition to revamp its exquisiteness. The Huayra Carbon Edition joined the Huayra White Edition in the short list of special models offered by the Italian sports car manufacturer.

The Carbon Fiber Edition obviously uses tons of carbon fiber to set it apart from the standard, but that’s where the differences end. The model has dropped its usual paint job in favor of carbon fiber coating, with the same material also being used for many of the interior elements starting with the dashboard and going up to accents on the premium leather seats.

Aside from the carbon fiber extravaganza, the Huayra Carbon Edition maintains all of the standard Huayra’s luxurious amenities, including its twin-turbocharged V12 engine. This engine is good for 700 HP and 738 lb-ft of torque and in the standard model, will sprint the super car from 0 to 60mph in just 3.3 seconds up to a top speed of 230 mph.

2012 Pagani Huayra White Edition

Pagani is making some serious waves at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show with the showcase of not one, but two special edition Huayra super cars.

One of the Huayra’s is called the White Edition, joining the Carbon Edition at the Geneva floor. Though not as eye-catching as the carbon fiber clad Huayra Carbon Edition, the Huayra White Edition is nonetheless another example of how smoking hot the Italian supercar is.

Best we can tell, the pristine white finish of this particular Huayra matches well with the naked carbon fiber body panels on the car. Add that to the fact that this is one of the fastest machines on the planet and it makes the car that much more drool-worthy.

And just in case you’ve forgotten what its capable of, the Huayra is powered by a 6.0 liter Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo V12 engine that produces a staggering 700 horsepower and puts out a whopping 730 lb/ft of torque. Those ridiculous figures allow the Huayra White Edition to cover 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds while hitting a top speed north of 220 mph.

Video: Pagani Zonda vs Pagani Huayra Sound Battle

Marchettino always seems to be at the right place, at the right time. Mix that with his tremendous skill on the computer, and you have amazing videos that capture the most spectacular vehicles on the market. His latest video shows off the best sounds of all the Pagani models he has filmed over the year. He says the video is a tribute to Horacio Pagani, "a person I really admire for how he started his career with almost nothing, and now produces some of the best and most exclusive supercars in the world."

The video includes the engine sounds of models like the Zonda Cinque, the Zonda F, and the Zonda R, as well as the latest Huayra supercar. The cars were caught both on the track and on public streets with brutal accelerations, launches, loud revving scenes, and more! All you have to do is turn up the volume and enjoy!

Video: The Pagani Zonda meets the Pagani Huayra

There are very few cars in this world that can keep up with the Pagani Zonda, but even with its AMG-powered 7.3-liter engine that produces 555 horsepower and 563 lb/ft of torque, it isn’t the most powerful car in the Pagani family.

That title belongs to the Pagani Huayra and its AMG-powered 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that generates 700 horsepower and 740 lb/ft of torque.

This video, courtesy of EVO Diaries, features the two Pagani supercars partaking in a nice little joyride on an isolated road. What’s fascinating about this 53-second video, apart from getting a good look at the Zonda’s fancy interior, is how much more meat the Huayra has over its older sister. Check out the video around the 30-second mark and you’re going to see the Huayra’s serious power as it breaks away from the Zonda when the road straightens out.

Like we said, we’d take very few cars over the Zonda, but if there’s one car that will completely change our mind, it’s the mind-blowing Pagani Huayra.

2011 Pagani Huayra

In the world of supercars, you have many different players. Ferrari is the technological wonder child, while Lamborghini is that school bully that developed a bit of common sense with age. Aston Martin is the sophisticated gentlemen spy that can charm any living thing with a single word. Then, you come to Pagani, the new boy. These cars don’t feature any sophistication or old world charm. Yet, their radical designs and outrageous performance have placed them in the top tier of the supercar tree and now, we have a new version, the C9.

In the world of follow-ups, this one is massive. Sort of like the Godfather II following the Godfather. The Zonda was the car that made Pagani into the company you see today. Automotive journalists loved it and the base version spawned many different special editions and one-offs like the Zonda F and Cinque. It was like nothing ever seen before. The Zonda’s development was evolutionary, but the C9 that will replace it will be revolutionary.

Video: A collection of supercars courtesy of the China Sportscar Club

The Chinese automotive market is growing bigger by the day and automakers everywhere are taking advantage of this growing market by throwing a number of special editions their way. One type of vehicle that is ripping through the streets of China is the super car. Anything from Ferrari to Pagani to Lamborghini is making its way over to the land of Dragons and Emperors, and this video was created to show off a number of these vehicles.

Watching this video may incite some ever growing jealousy for the people lucky enough to get behind the wheel of these bad boys. The supercars are all part of the Chinese Sportscar Club (SCC), which got together on an airstrip to show off their rides. The list of the supercars is intense, including a Ferrari Enzo, a Pagani Zonda F/R and Cinque, a Mercedes SLR, a Mercedes SLS, a Ferrari F430, a Ferrari 458 Italia, tons of Lamborghini models, an Aston Martin, and our favorite, the Koenigsegg Agera.

The sheer monetary value of the collected supercars is enough to induce drool.
