Not that this is a big surprise, after all the Zonda Cinque is limited to only five units. And of course there were five millionaires in the world to sign a 1 million euro check (no taxes included)!
The Zonda Cinque is powered by a detuned version of the 7.3L V12 engine to produce 678-hp with a peak torque of 575 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a Cima sequential 6-speed gearbox. The 0 to 60 mph sprint is made in 3.4 seconds, and the 0 to 124 mph in 9.6 seconds; top speed is 217 mph.
Pagani revealed today the official informations about 2009 Zonda Cinque. It will be limited to only 5 units, each priced at €800,000 (or $1,246,599 USD).

The street legal version of the Zonda R features ABS by Bosch, traction control and carbon-ceramic self ventilated Brembo brakes - front 380×34mm 6 piston calipers and rear 380×34mm 4 piston calipers.
The Zonda Cinque is a dream for every car lover, but only five of them will have the chance to actually own a car like this. Zonda Cinque will go on sale at a price of 800.000 euro ($.1250.000).
Under the hood there will be the same 6 liters V12 engine that delivers 750 hp and 710 Nm. The 0-124mph (0-200km/h) sprint will be made in just 9.8 seconds.
This will be the last version of the Zonda before the debut of the new car that will abandon the V12 AMG, in favour of a V8, possibly twin-turbo. Zonda Cinque will be available only in black, silver red livery.
Why "Cinque"? Simple: because this exclusive supercar will be limited to only five units. The Zonda Cinque is in fact a Zonda R created specially for the streets.

No other info about weight or the interior, but we can tell you that the car is a real "bargain": 800.000 euro ($.1250.000).
AutoExpress caught the Pagani Zonda replacement while it was taking a brake from testing. And we have to admit it looks great! The car will go on sale early next year.
At the front, soft curves replace sharp creases, while a wider grille has been fitted to aid cooling and improve the looks. At the rear there are two gaping air scoops on top of the rear wings, together with a single duct on the engine cover. On the interior there are minor changes, keeping the same mix of hand-stitched soft leather and bespoke aluminium controls and trim.
It will be powered by a 5.4-litre V8 unit from the McLaren SLR, which produces up to 680bhp in the 722 GT version. The 0-60mph sprint is likely to dip below three seconds, and top speed should be comfortably beyond 200mph.
Pagani is preparing to launch a new model. Internally known as the "C9", the supercar is designed for the USA and the Japanese markets and will go on sale in late 2009, after its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show next year.
Pagani will continue its cooperation with AMG, but this time the model will not be powered by the 7,3-liter V12 engine. Instead the C9 will be powered by either a 6,2-liter V8 or a 6,0-liter V12 biturbo engine.
As you already know Pagani will increase production from the current 16 units a year to 60 units a year, so you might be a bit more lucky if you want to drive a Pagani next year!
The future supercar from Pagani, internally known as the C9 will be probably powered by a V8 AMG engine. We think that because a recent spy video shows the C9 test-mule with a noticeably quieter exhaust system.
The future C9 will be unveiled next year at the Geneva Motor Show and will be sold on new markets including Japan and USA.
Even if Pagani didn’t finished the Zonda R in time for the Geneva Motor Show, that doesn’t mean the Italian supercars-maker doesn’t have ambitious plans for the future: a new supercar was announced to be launched next year. The future model, internally knows as the C9 will be powered by a V8 engine and will replace the current Zonda.
According to Pagani the production of the current Zonda supercar will be closed in less than a year because the 7.3 liters V12 AMG engine will no longer be available.
The future C9 will be unveiled next year at the Geneva Motor Show and will be sold on new markets including Japan and USA. In the same time with the launch of the new model, Pagani will also launch a new plant which will have a capacity of 60 units a year.
But until next year, the limited edition Zonda R is expected to be unveiled. This will be powered by a V12 engine that will deliver 750 hp. It will be limited to only 10 units.
I think everyone knows the name Pagani; his cars are between the most exclusive vehicles in the world, that’s for sure. The Argentinean designer wasn’t able to present the new Zonda R in Geneva, but instead, they presented us a very special Sound System for your home.
It’s built in polished aluminum and carbon fiber, like all the things that Pagani do. It has two vinyl players, for 33 and 45 rpm, a CD player, a stereo amplifier, a power amplifier and two incredible and beautiful tower speakers with 350 watts.
The main control it’s designed to emulate the sound system that it’s available on the Pagani Zonda. The other similarity between the car and the sound system are the bass speakers that are similar to the famous Pagani 4 tube exhaust.
“Music makes you live very deep emotions and sensations, and there is nothing better than listen your favorite music the right way". Pagani said on a press release.
Even do the price tag haven’t been released, i’m sure will be more that any normal car you own.
Bad news for Zonda fans. The Pagani Zonda R will not be on the roll call of next month’s Geneva auto show. The track honed, 750 hp supercar made entirely of carbon fibre, will sit out another auto show as Zonda are busily working on more important projects having neglected this one. Only 10 of these will ever be made and maybe thats what has caused this disappointment?
Zonda needs to sell all the 10 to cover the entire cost of the project and it seems like they haven’t. A few are still waiting for buyers and only when they are bought, Zonda would be able to proceed to the next step and subsequently, the launch. Either a strict company policy or the unavailability of a display car has resulted in this decision by Zonda.
Nevertheless, production of these ten units will begin next month. The ultimate track car will compete with the likes of Ferrari FXX and will come with a price tag of 1.2 million euro.
