Introduced at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show , the McLaren 650S took center stage as a replacement for the aging, yet still enticing, MP4-12C . Available in both coupe and roadster guises, the sports car rolled off the assembly line with the proven, twin-turbo, 3.8-liter V-8 behind its seats. Motivated by no less than 640 horses and 500 pound-feet of twist, the 650S quickly became the fastest vehicle in its segment, outgunning sports cars wearing both Ferrari and Lamborghini badges. Coming into 2015, the Brits are knighting the 650S a full-time race car by means of a GT3 iteration for the Blancplain Endurance Series and a Sprint racer. Essentially a successor to the 12C GT Sprint, the 650S Sprint is also a track-only model.

The race-ready sports car comes to bridge the gap between the road-going 650S and the endurance-spec GT3 by appealing to amateur motorsport enthusiasts that spend their weekends at the track. Blending technology from both, the 650S Sprint offers the plain looks of the street-legal car spiced up by racing upgrades and a FIA-approved interior. The 650S family just grew larger and we took a deep dive into McLaren’s brand-new racer. Read on to find out more about this spectacular, track-confined beast.

Aston Martin’s Q by Aston Martin division has created some pretty delicious personalized models since it was launched in 2012. In a lot of ways, it’s become one of the best things Aston Martin has done in recent years. So when Aston Martin announced that four unique Q by Aston Martin models will be displayed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance , the excitement behind it is completely legitimate. The Aston Martin DB9 Volante is one of the models that will be given the Q by Aston Martin treatment. I’ve looked at all four examples headed to Pebble Beach and there’s no question in my mind that the DB9 Volante is a stunner.

It’s just a beautiful, personalized Aston Martin that exudes all the best things the brand is known for. It’s also unique enough that you probably won’t see another Aston Martin dressed in the same colors anytime soon.

That’s the beauty of the Q by Aston Martin division. It creates examples that are so unique and personally detailed that you can’t help but wonder why Aston Martin doesn’t release more of these models to the public.

The Pebble Beach-bound Aston Martin DB9 Volante Q by Aston Martin is a perfect example of that.

You know when you’re a kid in a toy store and you’re presented with four toys to pick from, but the issue is that you really want all of them? That’s what Aston Martin’s new lineup of Q by Aston Martin models feels like. Is it possible to just pick all of them as my favorite? I admittedly chose the DB9 Volante version, but the V12 Vantage S is tugging at my conscience.

Q by Aston Martin’s work on the V12 Vantage S, which is set to debut at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance, deserves all the adulation it can get. It’s rich body color exemplifies Aston Martin’s luxurious image. The intricate detail of the interior is also a sight to behold, kind of like looking at a design masterpiece of the highest order.

Just looking at these models bound for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is tough enough on its own. I can only imagine how difficult it is for an Aston Martin customer to get their hands on a Q by Aston Martin-personalized model.

The Lexus LS is the crown jewel of Lexus’ luxury car lineup. It also belongs in a segment that includes the Mercedes S-Class , the Audi A8 , and the BMW 7 Series . That’s the epitome of competition right there. So how does Lexus separate the LS 460 F Sport from this three-headed German monster? Create a special edition line with TUMI, the ultimate lifestyle and accessories manufacturer, of course.

The collaboration between the Japanese auto brand and the high-end lifestyle and accessories company is called The Crafted Line. The good news is that the Crafted Line is available across a wide range of Lexus models. The bad news, at least in the case of the LS 460 F Sport , is that it has the fewest allotment of available models at just 750 units.

The LS 460 F Sport might feel slighted that the ES and the RX 350 F Sport both received 1,500 units of the Crafted Line, but look at this way, the LS 460 F Sport is the one model that can still stand out even without the goodies that come with the Crafted Line. That comes with the territory of already being a high-end luxury sedan.

The flip side to that is its exclusivity. With just 750 units available, we expect the LS 460 F Sport Crafted Line Edition to have plenty of interested buyers as soon as the model is launched in November 2014. In the meantime, look for the entire Crafted Line collection to be featured prominently at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance.

The Q by Aston Martin program really is something else, isn’t it? The personalization program has the ability to turn any Aston Martin into a real work of art. We’ve seen it happen time and time again since the program was launched in 2012. But we’ve never seen it to the extent of what Aston Martin is bringing to the Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance . Four Aston Martin models, all dressed up by Q by Aston Martin. One of these models is the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante , a supercar that holds a special place in my heart because it’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a supercar . Fast, powerful, luxurious, and gorgeous, all at the same time. That’s how I’d describe the Vanquish Volante in so many words.

The Vanquish Volante Q by Aston Martin is an especially attractive iteration of the Aston’s most powerful convertible supercar. It’s dressed to the nines the way a well-kept and tidy exotic should be. The silver and tan treatment on the body and cabin blends perfectly in a way that fits the aura of the Vanquish Volante.

Classy on the outside, aggressive on the inside. Just the way Aston Martin intended the Vanquish Volante to be.

Earlier in August 2014, we learned about the updates prepared by Aston Martin for the 2015 Vanquish , and now the powerful grand tourer is set to receive the love it deserves from the company’s customization program, Q by Aston Martin. As if the numerous exterior and interior options available for the Vanquish weren’t enough, the Q by Aston Martin division jumped in with a brand-new program for the coupe, enhancing its appeal to a level even the most exigent customers can’t say no to.

Flashy colors, bold contrasts and an enhanced carbon-fiber pattern are now up for grabs to go with the coupe’s enhanced performance figures. In case you’ve been living under a rock, the 2015 Vanquish is a half-second quicker to 60 mph than the 2014 model, thanks to a slightly uprated engine and an all-new transmission. The 5.9-liter V-12 mill now generates 568 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, while the state-of-the-art Touchtronic III, eight-speed automatic makes sure the oomph is efficiently delivered to the wheels.

If you thought the Vanquish can’t get any better that it already is, then you definitely need to have a closer look at Q’s latest creation.

If there ever was any doubt that Lexus is serious about its venture into the world of luxury, its new Crafted Line puts those questions to bed. The Crafted Line is available on a handful of Lexus models, including the LS 460 F Sport , GS 350 F Sport , IS 250 F Sport, RX 350 AWD F Sport and ES 350 . That’s a lot of models to choose from.

The GS 350 F Sport’s status as Lexus’ high-performing, midsized luxury sedan makes it an ideal base for the Crafted Line treatment. Not that it needs any more splashes of luxury , it just doesn’t hurt to get more of it. Owners get their GS 350 F Sport dressed up in combination of Ultra White and Obsidian with a two-tone black and red interior. The color combinations are particularly vexing with the red interior highlights, creating a splash of life to the otherwise classy shades of white and black on the body.

Lexus’ collaboration with TUMI further emphasizes the level of style and luxury the Japanese automaker put into creating the Crafted Line. Every model, including the GS 350 F Sport will receive an exclusive TUMI luggage set. The participation of TUMI is a big deal in building cache among business people, some of whom are probably loyal consumers of the high-end lifestyle and accessories brand.

Look for the Lexus GS 350 F Sport’s Crafted Line version to become a hit when it debuts at the Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance before its scheduled launch in November 2014. Only 875 GS 350 F Sport models will fall under the Crafted Line collection, so expect it to sell out faster than most of its brethren.

Bugatti stunned the entire world in 2005 by releasing the Veyron , its first production vehicle in 10 years. At first it was powered by a quad-turbocharged, 8.0-liter, W-16 engine rated at 987 horsepower, which was later uprated to deliver 1,183 ponies. It is mostly know for being the fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a record sitting at 267.856 mph. Its roadster version, the Grand Sport Vitesse , holds the same benchmark for the world’s fastest open-top with a top speed of 254.04 mph. Set to go out of production sometime in 2015, the Veyron is bidding the supercar market farewell through a series of "Les Legendes de Bugatti" special-edition models. The final version of the series — in all the series includes six special editions — pays tribute to Bugatti founder and designer Ettore Bugatti and Bugatti unveiled it just ahead of its official launch at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance .

As with most "Legends" Veyrons, it pays tribute to a very special person and an iconic Bugatti model from the company’s glorious past. This time around the French selected the Type 41 Royale , a 21-foot-long luxury car built in only six units between 1927 and 1933. Needless to say, this is a great way to send the current Veyron into the history books, while an even more impressive successor is being developed.

With the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance just around the corner, time has come to have a look at what this year’s edition of the world-renowned event has to offer. The charitable event has drawn huge interest ever since it was established in 1950, and the 2014 edition will be no exception. Automakers like McLaren , Jaguar Land Rover, BMW and Aston Martin have already confirmed their presence with outstanding, brand-new vehicles, but each and every important manufacturer will hit California to showcase their latest products. Global debuts and North American debuts, this year’s Pebble Beach will have them all.

Besides the latest automobiles ranging from lightning-fast supercars to practical SUVs and bespoke rigs, the event will be packed with classic cars spread across different eras. Bentleys , Duesenbergs and Bugattis , one rarer than the other, will be displayed across the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links. As with each year, the Pebble Beach Concours the d’Elegance will donate all proceedings to various local and national organizations. The event has given nearly $20 million to charities throughout the years, and this tradition will continue in 2014.

This year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is certain to be a blast. It’s set to take place on August 17th, 2014, but several events, such as the Pebble Beach Auctions and the Tour d’Elegance, are scheduled a few days earlier, on August 13th and 14th, respectively. Just because the Lexus ES falls below the segment classifications of the LS , GS , and IS models, that doesn’t mean it can’t get the same amount of attention from the Crafted Line collection as the others received. On the contrary, the ES received more "love" than any other model in the Lexus lineup outside of the RX 350 F Sport.

Even with its standing in the lineup, the ES received the same level of customization and attention-to-detail as its big brothers. That begins with the Ultra White color of the sedan , and is accented by a contrasting Obsidian splashes on various sections of the body.

Like the rest of the Crafted Line collection, the Lexus ES Crafted Line Edition will be on display at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance before its launch in November 2014.

Don’t underestimate the selling power of the ES, especially when you’re looking at one of just 1,500 examples of the Crafted Line Edition. It’s still one of the cheapest models in the entire lineup line, so expect those who won’t be able to afford the GS 350 F Sport and the LS 460 F Sport to turn their attention to the ES 350 Crafted Line Edition.
