The well known Peugeot 207 was launched exactly 2 years ago, in spring 2006 and due to the great success in only two years it reached great sales exceeding its objective by more than 20,000 units, to 521,000 vehicles.
According to Peugeot the car is currently the leader of the B segment across Europe. For all of you who don’t know, the B segment represents almost a third of the European auto market and is one of the most competitive segment.
For the 2008 the French manufacturer said that its main objectives are to keep offering the costumers the same quality of the cars. The 207 model is offered in a wide range from coupe cabriolet to sport vans, this fact being the main contributor at the 207 success.
Peugeot has launched a range of ‘Sports’ accessories for the 207 Van, which customers can use to personalise their van.
The range of accessories cover everything from an iPod docking kit to a full body kit, 17” alloy wheels, or an exterior stripe kit. All accessories can be fitted at any Peugeot dealer or by a competent owner. The ‘Sports’ accessories range consists of the following items:

Citroen announced that it will use BMW engines on its new models. Naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines will be employed which displace 1.4 to 1.6 liters.
Sister company Peugeot is already employing BMW engines to power its 207 and 308 models. Although the Citroen models which will use the engines are unknown, WhatCar? claims that the Citroen C5 will be the first car to roll out with the new engine before 2010.
Citroen will benefit from BMW’s EfficientDynamics engine stop-start technology which increases fuel efficiency and engine life. The manufacturer plans to equip all its cars with this technology in the near future.
Since the beginning of the year the RT4 system has been available in the 407, 308 and 807 ranges and now, since the beginning of November, is also available in the 207 hatchback, 207 CC and 207 SW (starting with the Premium trim level on the hatchback and SW models).
A new expression of driving pleasure, the 207 SW RC combines a sporty spirit with high-quality equipment all contained in stylish design full of character, with five full-size seats. It has been designed to captivate customers who live life to the full. The 207 is the latest and third member of the 207 family, is characterised by its dynamic equipment styling.
According to AutoExpress, Peugeot will use the GTi bagde for their latest introduction: 207 SW. The last mosel that was available in a GTi version was the 505 GTi which was produced until 1992.
When the 207 was launched last year on the market it was the fourth vehicle to be offered by Peugeot in the European small car market segment, along side the 107, the 1007 and the 206. Today, Peugeot added a new model to the 207 line-up: 207 SW. The 207 SW will be launched on the 5th July 2007 in France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain and Portugal, and available in Germany from 12th July.

van will replace Peugeot’s successful 206 van and build further on the stylish looks and great driving dynamics of its predecessor. Based on the 207 three door hatchback model, the 207 Van shares the same overall length of 4.03 m, width of 1.92 m, wheel base of 2.54 m and overall height of 1.47 m. This provides a maximum load area of 1.1 m3 and a payload of 450 kg.
The historic record realized by Peugeot with the 205, with 5 278 000 exemplary products between 1983 and 1998, has just been beaten by the 206.
Launched in September 1998, the Peugeot 206 attained six millions exemplary products, at the end of April, on the Wuhan plant in China, where she is made, since January 2006, in his version sedan 5-doors. The six millionth 206 Was a 206 S, equipped with a 1.6l petrol engine.
