Launched commercially in Europe during the last quarter of the year, the Peugeot 308 has already exceeded the first target of 100,000 vehicles produced. This phase coincides with the market introduction of the «three-door» hatch versions and the economically attractive engines, in particular the 1.6 l HDi with emissions of no more than 120 g of CO2/km. Peugeot unveiled the first official images of the 308, the replacement for the 307, that will be unveiled this September at Frankfurt Motor Show. The 308 will be powered by a 2.2 four-cylinder turbo diesel engine with an output of 170 hp. Also, there will be the new 1.6 litre fuel injected engine with output between 75 and 170 HP.

2008 Peugeot 308 - spy shots
Peugeot will launch the 308 sometime in 2008. It is an MPV-style, stretched forward scuttle. Also a folding tin-top 308 CC model is also scheduled for production later in 2008 or ’09.
