The 207 SW will follow in the footsteps of the 206 SW, which became the best selling estate car in the French and European B2 segment from its first year of introduction (2003). Benefiting from a real generational leap compared with the 206 SW, the 207 SW will expand the target customer base with a number of new features.
Peugeot 207 SW
Peugeot has very ambitious plans for the new 207 SW: in 2008, the first full year they intend to sell 98.000 units, meaning 18% of the total sales of all 207 models. From all the units sold, 44% should be powered by petrol engines and 56% by diesel ones.
The new 207 SW, one and both at the same time:
207 - identified by its strong lines and dynamic character, but still benefiting from the exactness of its design and the evident quality feel of the car.
« SW » - two letters which, for Peugeot, express space, light and well being, thanks to the glass panoramic roof, modularity and practicality, all contained within a well proportioned, stylish design.
Engines
The new 207 SW will be powered by a range of five engines: three petrols and two diesel:
Petrol:
- 1.4 litre – 54 kW (≈ 75 bhp) – 118 Nm at 3300 rpm – manual gearbox
- Result of the co-operation between PSA Peugeot Citroën and BMW group:
- 1.4 litre VTi – 70 kW (≈ 95 bhp) – 136 Nm at 4000 rpm – manual gearbox
- 1.6 litre VTi – 88 kW (≈ 120 bhp) – 160 Nm at 4250 rpm – manual or automatic gearbox with Porsche Tiptronic sequential control.

Brightness, temperature and acoustic comfort – even an inbuilt air freshener in some versions, the 207 SW is very welcoming and comfortable place for its occupants. Its numerous storage areas, in-car-entertainment and RT4 system (available in a few weeks) create a desirable place to be.
In the near future Peugeot intends to offer another two versions of the 207 SW. The first one will be the 207 SW "Outdoor", an off road leisure vehicle … a rugged, ‘versatile’ design with additional ground clearance – with a greatly accentuated perception.
The next one is the 207 SW "RC" with a clearly stated sportiness –a spacious, “GT” design and powered by a 175 bhp engine, delivering 240 Nm of torque at 1600 rpm.
