It is nonetheless constantly changing. In keeping with the car’s architecture, its style expresses itself through original proportions and new vectors of balance. The exterior style, however, succeeds in suggesting the vehicle’s particularly innovative content. At the rear, the wings with their structured curves blend smoothly with the ruby colored rear lights with their hi-tech fi nish, indicating the presence of light emitting diodes. The originality of this design adds to the perception of a vehicle that has its rear end fi rmly planted on the road. Here the presence of a lower tailgate and the large black protectors in the lower rear panel, illustrate the ‘‘Outdoor’’ spirit of the 3008. This is even more pronounced on middle and top of the range models, where the lower front and rear panels receive a rich solid stainless-steel trim. In the fi nal analysis, the style of the car creates multiple impressions: inner strength, latent power, GENEROUS EXTERNAL DIMENSIONSThrough its external dimensions, determined by its architecture and its style, the 3008 offers a new synthesis of capacity and compactness in the Peugeot range. Its length of 4.365 m is the result of: Its generous width, between door handles, of 1.837 m, ensures excellent lateral passive safety and a fi rst rate capacity (elbow width, for example). OPTIMISED AERODYNAMICSThe architecture, style and dimensions have resulted in a Cx of 0.296 for the 3008, placing it among the best in its segment. The resulting coeffi cient of penetration through air and the resulting SCx (0.760), despite a main frame (S) of 2.56 m2 due to the height and width of the car, are the result of extensive testing of the body in a wind tunnel, all aimed at reducing fuel consumption and therefore CO2 emissions.
10 comments: Peugeot 3008 Agreed. The interior of the car is not that great but I think with its awesome performance this one will sell like hotcakes. BTW, who said that American doesn’t want a diesel car?
I prefer a 2 liter fuel engine for this car! However, I agree that based on the picture this car would be identical to Honda Civic not really luxurious type!
Can’t you give a summary guys? Eight pages is kind of sleepy to read. IMO, there’s nothing spectacular on this car especially on the interior. However, its a good thing that they have offered a two engine option for this car.
well, i think it a crossover that clearly has a minivan side of concept.
its just okay, since the exterior is awesome. But i think the front and the rear where kind of over design.
Did you know that the Peugeot 3008 model offers a perfectly FL at floor from the lower tailgate hobby to the fascia panel.
If I would buy a car solely on the look of the interior, this car would be my choice. Too bad I don’t, and the design of the exterior is hideous on this one. But at least they have dropped the gigantic mouth theme, and it still looks miles better than the disastrous 4007.
Hmm. Quite what a comment about Ford brakes is doing in the Peugeot section, I struggle to comprehend. But despite a lot of negativity surrounding the looks of the 3008, I personally find it quirky and pleasing to look at. Horses for courses, I suppose. I remember the nonsense in the press when Ford broke away from tradition, when they introduced the Sierra. Now every man and his dog has a sweeping bonnet line. it’s strange to me- as well as Ford is executing pretty much everywhere, they can’t seem to get brake performance nailed down. Almost every review of a Ford vehicle has at least some gripes about the brakes, be it fade, or feel, or whatever.
Poor old Peugeot - they used to have some beautiful cars with tight surfaces; now they look bloated, ugly, and have no sense of direction. their current design director should be ashamed.
