2011 Peugeot RCZ Asphalt LE

Following last year’s Peugeot RCZ Asphalt, the company has now opened its ordering books for the 2011 RCZ Asphalt LE. What’s the difference? This new model is limited to just 75 right-hand-drive units for the UK as opposed to the 500 units offered last year. Each model will be priced at £29,995 - or around $48,000 at the current exchange rates.

The new Asphalt LE edition will be distinguished by a special matte Telluric - that’s fancy for gray - body and can be ordered only with the top-of-the-range GT trim version. The Asphalt package also includes a black roof, "Asphalt’ badging, and 19" Solstice black alloy wheels complimented by matching black brake calipers. For the interior, the package adds bespoke "Asphalt" branded and stitched Nappa leather trim, an Alcantara / leather steering wheel and gear stick, and bespoke "Asphalt" sill covers and floor mats. The list of standard equipment includes front and rear parking aids, auto lighting (with approach and follow me home modes), Peugeot Connect Media Navigation, and a top-of-the-range JBL sound system.

The RCZ Asphalt LE will be powered by the standard 1.6-liter THP petrol engine producing 200 HP and 188 lb-ft of torque. This power is good for a 0-60 mph sprint time of 7.6 seconds.

UPDATE 08/29/11: Peugeot has announced that in addition to the new HX1 Concept, their booth at the Frankfurt Motor Show will also carry the RCZ Asphalt Limited Edition. The special edition RCZ was introduced back in July, but will only make its public debut in Frankfurt in the coming weeks. Be on the look out for the car because, according to Peugeot, only 75 models will be released.

The wheels of this vehicle really caught my attention, so unique and cool. It truly suits to the image of this car. Is it already on market production?

The wheel of this one is absolutely so cool and aggressive on it. Even its front design is oozing with angst, which impressed me a lot and with its sleek body paint, I must say that it looks very classy on that.

The name itself was really fitted on its appearance. Well, I must say that I am also so fond with the angst and the aggressiveness of this Asphalt! I also noticed that it had cool wheels, which emphasized the appeal that it had.

Orderly a one of the proportional car I’ve d seen. Very distinct and elegant looking black scheme. It matches very nice to the black alloy wheel. Even the detail of headlights also impressive.

This Asphalt LE is oozing with angst and awesomeness! The wheels really caught my attention, so unique and cool. It really suits to the image of this car. Is it already on market production?

this car looks awesome! but performance wise, its ehh. i was expecting more power and torque.

Admittedly, the design of the car is quite impressive. However, the speed performance is kind of disappointing. I think it would be better if we less to consider this vehicle.

The car doesn’t have an impressive performance for a coupe. Aside from the luxurious styling no more is good in the Peugeot production.

one thing that I don’t like about this one is that they didn’t give it an engine upgrade. But I think the other goodies that they have included in the interior package more than makes up for it.

Well, in my case, I am actually liking the rounded roof more. It really complements the whole design of the car and makes this one look rather unique.

As far as I see it, the car look elegant and pure of surprises. I think it has more to offer inside. Designs and performance is truly amazing.

I still need to get used to that overly rounded roof, but overall, this one is actually very nice. I also love the design of the wheels, as well as the choice of engine that they made.

I am definitely loving the wheels on this one. Those white trims really made this one look as if they are glowing. And overall, the car is definitely very stylish.

Is just me or the platform of this car is similar to VW Beetle? Well, the detailing is kind of impressive as well as the aerodynamic kit. And it seems that we can expect tons off newer features on this car.

Wow! I like the simple design of the Peugeot coupe. The aerodynamic kit offer is kind of great! However, I think the figure performance of the car is not impressive. Its kind of slower in terms of 0-60 mph, the power output is good though I find its torque seems disappointing.
