Pininfarina Sintesi - more details

As you know, Pininfarina will launch the Sintesi Concept in March at the Geneva Motor Show. Last week the company announced that every week until the launch they will reveal new details about the concept.

Last week they revealed that the Sintesi is inspired by another two Concepts: the Birdcage 75th and Nido; and that the Sintesi (summary in Italian) is a perfect combination of sportiness and functionality.

This week, Pininfarina announced the concept will feature new technologies, fuel cell and batteries, enables a more sophisticated and integrated use of space. The fuel cells and batteries will be placed all around the vehicle, instead of stacked together in the boot.

The Sintesi was designed with notion of "liquid packaging" in their minds. This is a metaphor that express the possibility of fragmentation of once compact, solid parts which now, almost like a liquid, can occupy spaces never used before.

Pininfarina Sintesi first sketch

Pininfarina today revealed the first sketch of the Sintesi Concept that will be unveiled in five weeks at the Geneva Motor Show. The Sintesi (meaning "summary" in Italian) is a perfect combination of sportiness and functionality.

It is the natural heir to the last two Pininfarina prototypes: Birdcage 75th and Nido.

The Sintesi project has been inspired by the sportiness and innovative styling, the use and the testing of new technologies evident in the Birdcage 75th, shown at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show.

More about the Concept after the jump.
