Generally, the focus of diesel cars is on fuel economy and not so much on performance, but with a little help from the capable hands of tuners, a diesel car can become what it should have been from the start: a powerful and environmentally friendly machine. Superchips, for instance, has prepared an ECU remap for the 2010 Porsche Cayenne Diesel 3.0 TDI. With their help, the output for the Cayenne has been boosted by up to 47 bhp at 4044 rpm, while the peak torque has been increased by an impressive 82 Nm. The best part about this kit is that, even with increased power, the fuel economy stays exactly the same at just 8.2 liters/100 kilometers (equal to 34.4 mpg imp). In fact, sometimes the fuel economy even improved due to the extra low rev torque available. The result is quite impressive for a 4,630-pound SUV. The standard Cayenne Diesel 3.0 TDI develops 240 HP, but the Cayenne by Superchips now goes up to 287 HP, which is a little bit closer to the SUV’s gas-powered brother that develops 300 HP. I haven’t heard that they have killed the Cajun..I think its somewhat in hibernation..
I was thinking that they are planning something else for this production..Well, it seems that small version SUV is not a hit after all.
Its just sad that Porsche have already killed the production of Cajun( supposedly the successor of this model). It seems that they have decide to make it alive again and dethrone the Cajun.
Yeah, I agree. They need to reduced the weight of the car and upgrade the engine. I don’t want to drive a car that runs like a hearse!
What the heck! This car is gas guzzler! 8 liter is too much, I bet the weight of the car affect the speed of the car. I bet their a lot of other option in the market.
Laminated acoustic glass has also been used for the windshield and this new-age five-layer glass is remarkable stuff in the way it absorbs a huge amount of sound without adding any weight to the glass itself.
What an incredible difference. The Cayenne’s appearance has gone from awkward and incomplete to well turned out in the re-design. Again, what a BIG BIG BIG difference as compared with the original. It’s great that they’ve stayed calm, sensible and as a result kept this vehicle looking distinctly like itself instead of changing the appearance into something completely different.
