2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo by Sportec

Swiss tuning firm Sportec has had its hands full recently with a bevy of Porsche projects. After working on a Porsche 911 Turbo SP580 , the folks from Sportec are gearing for yet another Porsche project: the Panamera Turbo .

For this project, Sportec will be offering two upgrade packages depending on the customer’s needs and wants. The stage 1 kit sees Sportec turning up the Panamera Turbo’s output from 492 horsepower to over 560 horsepower and 576 lb/ft of torque. The resulting improvements will see the Panamera Turbo clocking a time of 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. This entire package can be had for roughly $4,700.

Now, if you’re not content with just having a stage 1 upgrade, Sportec is also offering a stage 2 kit that should be more suitable to your thrill-seeking palette. For the stage 2 kit, Sportec will follow the same set-up of the stage 1 upgrade and, in addition to that, will add a sport exhaust with remote-controlled butterflies that further spikes the Panamera Turbo’s output from 560 horsepower to 575 horsepower and 598 lb/ft of torque. The stage 2 upgrade slices another one-tenth of a second to the car’s 0-60 mph time to just 3.8 seconds. But as is the case with further performance tweaks, even the smallest upgrade will set you back significantly and this Sportec stage 2 kit for the Panamera Turbo is no exception with a $12,800 price tag attached to it.

If you are still not satisfied with the 575hp beast that Sportec can deliver, then you might want to check out Techart’s power upgrade for the Turbo . They were able to get the Panamera to 580hp. Not a significant increase from what Sportec has done, but still better. Unfortunately, we don’t know the price for TechArt’s kit, but it might be worth a phone call if the buyer is interested.

This Panamera Turbo is absolutely looking great on its over-all white body paint, and I’m glad that it had a very satisfying exterior feature and even on its interior.

I don’t think these aftermarket guys "get it"... the stock Panamera is already shockingly quick. It doesn’t "need" more speed.... it’s a new rump that it needs more than anything else.

Basically the best tuner version of the Panamera I’ve seen so far, the rear actually looks nice in the picture id it could be the color or the body kit or the wheels that make the car look like the rumps smaller but god this car is amazing!

The Panamera excites me whenever I see it on a shop near our office. Now it looks like normal to me though I surely know that this car is really fast.

I wonder about two things:

First, the Cayenne I turbo had 550 hp from the same V 8 - so why does Porsche reduce the power for the Panamera?

And then: I think it astonishing that Porsche doesn’t deliver tuning on demand from Zuffenhausen itself - that would seem better for the buyers (warranty etc.)...

it’s the best sedan currently available and it sells better than expected.
