2011 Porsche Cayenne by Lumma Design

The 2011 Porsche Cayenne was just launched not even two months ago and already the look of the SUV is being transformed. Some may even like this transformation created by Lumma Design considering the Cayenne hasn’t been receiving many points for its looks these days. The new tuning package is called the CLR 550 GT and looks to remodel the Cayenne into a meatier machine.

This package includes a new front spoiler with a deep drawn cup spoiler sword and additional carbon applications, side skirts, and a new rear spoiler with integrated carbon diffuser. These illustrate the "meat" we were referring to before that makes the Porsche look like it is sitting closer to the ground like a bull ready to charge. Lumma Design also added a new sporty bonnet made from high-performance materials such as carbon and Kevlar, which if the Cayenne was the bull, the new bonnet would be its flared nostril. The bonnet comes with air inlets that allow the engine to breathe and let out its heated snort. The bonnet also has an elevated windscreen wiper cover to reduce the aerodynamic drag on the bull...uhhh...vehicle.

Lumma Design’s CLR 500 GT package also features three stainless steel tailpipes, roof edge spoiler, and tear-off edge on the tailgate, both made of carbon fiber. The package is finished off with a wider wheelhouse and 23" aluminum rims with a deep wheel hub.

We are going to give it to Lumma Design on this one. They absolutely transformed the Porsche Cayenne into the beast it deserves to be. The only thing we would add is a little more snarl under the hood, but we will just have to settle for the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine with the 300hp growl. Way to take the bull by its horns, Lumma!

Press release after the jump.

Press release

For more than 20 years, LUMMA Design has been recognized as one of the fastest car tuners around. This applies to the engine performance of the vehicles as well as the pace to which the company reacts to new car models. The car tuner from Winterlingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg presents its design development CLR 550 GT already for the launch of the brand-new Porsche Cayenne.

LUMMA Design provided the somewhat reserved appearance of the Cayenne with a tailor-made sports suit that radiates self-confidence. It comprises a new front spoiler with a deep drawn cup spoiler sword and additional carbon applications that give the Porsche an aggressive agile look. The added LED daytime running lights and the fog lights unit emphasise this self-contained design.

The new sporty bonnet, which is made from high-performance materials such as carbon and Kevlar, also demands to be recognised. The gill-like air inlets provide the best heat dissipation from the engine compartment, and the elevated windscreen wiper cover reduces the aerodynamic drag.

The bold wing extensions continue the aerodynamic optimisation of the Cayenne. The side skirts steady the airflow and guide the air through a specially designed channel to the rear brakes, thus ensuring a stable and optimum operating temperature. Customized openings in the door fixtures provide additional cooling. They continue seamlessly between the wider wheelhouse of the front and rear wheels. The total aerodynamic package makes the CLR 550 GT a force to be reckoned with on the road.

This impression is further reinforced by the massive light alloy wheels. LUMMA Design uses forged 11x23 inch aluminium rims with a deep wheel hub.

The individual shape of the rear end is also impressive. The heart of this design is the rear spoiler with its integrated carbon diffuser. Incorporated into the centre of the spoiler are the three stainless steel tailpipes, giving it the distinctive look of the design. Only LUMMA Design offers the visual appearance of a centre pipe flanked by two smaller ones. What’s more, the roof edge spoiler and the tear-off edge on the tailgate, both made of carbon, provide additional power.

By incorporating further design elements, LUMMA Design brings the transformation of the Porsche Cayenne to full circle. This includes headlight rings and tail light trims.

Increased performance features and a comprehensive luxury programme for fine-tuning of the interior are already on the table.

The new CLR 550 GT proves again that LUMMA Design is a trendsetter in its field. Immediately with the launch of the Porsche Cayenne, this car tuner offers an extensive transition as a sports car with loads of personality.

Well, this car has already has an amazing speed upgrading its performance is not that difficult. However, the only problem would be modifying its exterior that’s already look good!

@Veyron101, Well, don’t worry. Recently, the Porsche announced the come back of Cajun later this year. It seems that they been trying their luck this time. Let’s do hope that this would be different from their previous production.

Well, I think this is not the most powerful aftermarket version for the cayenne that I have known. BTW, for a v6 technology this power output seems incredible and the modification in the exterior wasn’t bad at all.

Cayenne was supposedly the predecessor of the Cajun but unfortunately a small version for SUV wasn’t a hit after all!So here it goes again, satisfying us on the real experience of a traditional SUV can offer!

Cool Porsche, I wish I can drive a Cayenne on the streets.

With 15-horsepower four-cylinder engine to power an 80V dynamo.

It looks more like a porsche suv than a t-reg with a 911 front end. plus, it’s not like 380hp, 429lb ft, 0-60 under 6 and over 25 combined smiley

Nasty... if looks could kill.. then I must admit that it was an overkill.

This is unique offer by LUMMA Design which is the first tuners to offer a customized aero kit for the new 2011 Porsche Cayenne. I like the complete aerodynamic package increases its dominance on the road and the self-assured appearance is emphasized by components made of carbon.

What a lovely piece of machine! So simple but it still has the killer look of an overtortured Cayenne.

where is a price range?

Amazing LED lamp! Plus the aero kits does made the Cayenne alive and kicking.
