2011 Porsche Vorsteiner 997 Turbo Project 650 HP by Autodynamica

  Review

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of tuning projects circling the automotive industry at any given time. Some are extensive, offering a complete package to transform the vehicle into a new and improved model, and others only offer minor adjustments to slightly tweak the car’s look. The latter group are the ones that can always benefit from some additional attention. Turns out, American tuner, AutoDynamica, share our sentiments as they have taken the Porsche 997 Turbo by Vorsteiner and added certain elements to complete its package.

Vorsteiner started off the 997 Turbo’s transformation with dry carbon fiber vacuum technology. This technology allows for a stronger and stiffer bodykit that is also 40% lighter than the components used in the standard model. The newly redesigned front bumper cover is made of carbon fiber composite (CFRP) and there are also an add-on carbon fiber chin spoiler and larger duct openings. The back of the Porsche gets a new rear bumper and a 997.2 tail light conversion.

And then there’s the power. A standardPorsche 997 Turbo is one of the most powerful models on the market. With 500 HP and a top speed of 194 mph, the 997 Turbo certainly sets the stage for the competition, but AutoDynamic’s AWE 650S performance package takes it to the next level. This package adds an AWE exhaust system, AWE headers in stainless steel, AWE upgraded intercoolers and proprietary GIAC tuning software which bumps up the power output to 650 HP! Throw in a new set of performance wheels with a race inspired look and a new set of PSS10 Coilovers from Bilstein to lower the car’s ride, and you now have that complete package we discussed earlier.

It has a luxurious styling and I’m impressed with the boost in the power output done by the Autodynamica. I think the GT3 only has a 500+ hp.

Its a good thing that they have include the upgrade for the engine. However, the design for the exterior is quite impressive as well. It seems that the Autodynamica  made an awesome job here.

it really looks a bit plain to me. But that one is actually how I want the Porsche to be done, I am not really into those fancy upgrades and prefer work of this kind.

Well, for look alone, this one would definitely have a lot of plus points for me. As for the performance, I would probably hold on that one for a while until I see a video of this in action.

Wow, I actually like how they did the rear on this one. It matches the front that well and provides a good overall look for the car. And the tires look nice too.

AWE is well-known  to be the most powerful exhaust system in the world. And I guess this is the reason why this car was boosted around 150 hp. However, I agree that its kind of depressing that its top speed limiter!

hmm. It kind of disappointing to hear about this car was boosted around 600 ho and yet its top speed limits only up to 194 mph? I think its not a good idea to purchase this car.
